Tonya Harding Hurts American Hero Nancy Kerrigan, But Gets Helped by Barack Obama

I’m sure many of you remember the name Tonya Harding. Back in the 90s, Tonya was a young figure skater who took competition a little to far. Along with her husband named Gilooly at the time, and a hitman named Shane, Tonya drew public ire when she was accused of conspiring to bash in the knee of beloved American figure skater Nancy Kerrigan. The attacks were cold and left many people dismayed.
After the sporting terror attacks, it’s reported that Tonya Harding did an adult movie and soon her name faded from the headlines. Well, that’s until Barack Obama decided to help her out.
As Obama was running for his party’s nomination back in 2007, he had this to say: “Folks said there’s no way Obama has a chance unless he goes and kneecaps the person ahead of us, does a Tonya Harding.”
This was clearly said in support of Tonya Harding and to help her get some one publicity, and that’s sad.

Dan, what are you talking about? Obama said what other people said…not what he said. Other people thought he could never win without attacking the people running against him…he was really saying he didn’t need to do that to win!
