That would be called "rape". Now I'm sure this strange, foreign concept may be hard to grasp, but chemical assisted rape is not exactly new. And it certainly wouldn't be done with salvia, unless you can take someone home, pound their butt, and drop them off somewhere in under 10 minutes. Strong downers like Rohypnol, barbiturates, alcohol, GHB/GBL, chloral hydrate, Quaaludes, etc. are a different story. So unlikely to say the least (an idiotic conception by people too afraid to think for themselves to say the most).

I also feel the need to correct a few more facts about LSD and salvia. The strength of LSD's visuals is largely dose dependent, and, in low doses, has more to do with expansion of the imagination translated into sensual stimuli. It is largely nonaddictive, as well. In a study conducted in Britain shortly after LSD was criminalized, the majority of psychiatrists treating patients with LSD continued to do so, citing its efficacy and good safety profile. Only a small number discontinued LSD therapy due to potential risks. In addition, the only potential lasting effect of LSD is HPPD, where minor visuals persist indefinately. According to current studies, this only occurs in 0.2% of users (though estimates range up to 6%), and is non-life threatening, just annoying for most. It can, in some rare circumstances, contribute to the inculcating event in those already predisposed to mental illness, so it is important to research your family medical history beforehand, healthy or not. Both minor risks can be reduced MAJORLY by responsible use (as can the potential for a "bad trip", which is actually fairly low). Responsible use is achieved through "set" and "setting" (as per Dr. Leary,a visionary thinker), i.e. respect the drug, don't use it if you suffer mental illness, get a trip sitter, and consider where you are using it (and more, but these aspects being the most important). It is not possible to become physically addicted to LSD. Tolerance to psychedelics of the tryptamine class begins upon taking the drug, and lasts for about 2 weeks. This means that, unless you like wasting money on LSD that will not affect you in the least, there is no reason (and no withdrawal) to take more for a few weeks. The same applies the drugs of the phenethylamine class (e.g. MDxx drugs, mescaline, 2C-x drugs, etc.), though there isn't a cross tolerance between tryptamines and phenethylamines. The notable exception to the rules on phenethylamines would be amphetamines and such, a totally different story. LSD has no long term physical effects and has NEVER been found to stay in the body indefinitely. LSD is a very maligned chemical (likely an attempt by the government to suppress hippie culture and its accompanying poliical views), and the majority of independently funded (and even many government funded) studies have found it to be one of (if not THE) safest common recreational drug.

Salvia is a whole 'nother boat here. Salvia acts on kappa-opioid receptors, LSD on 5-HT (serotonergic) receptors, and cannabis on endocannabinoid receptors. This article compares apples to oranges. It has a lower addiction potential than any other recreational drug. Most who try it dislike it, and never touch it again, in fact. This is due to the fact that the effects of salvinorin are closer to "the other side" of psychedelics, i.e. dissociatives. The trip is nothing like LSD. It is not even truly a dissociative in mehanism of action, or even effects. The only risk is a bad trip. Salvia, like LSD, is largely maligned, and has been show to have far more therapeutic potential than posing a risk to society (aside from free thinking... the biggest risk). In light oral doses, it can create a mild "stoning" effect, but comparing that to the effects of cannabis would be yet another inappropriate comparison, one of many gaffes that this indoctrinated, woefully undereducated author makes. Please actually do some RESEARCH before ever writing anything again.

And here's the dirty truth:
APAP (Tylenol) overdose deaths per year (U.S.A): approx. 12,000.
Overdose deaths EVER for cannabis, LSD, and salvia combined: 0.

But how would I know anything? I'm only studying pharmacy, specializing in psychoactive drugs, with extensive field experience. I'd like to ask this author's credentials (as well as sources...). If you would like to know more about psychedelic drugs, I would very much recommend PiHKAL and TiHKAL by Dr. and Mrs. Shulgin, as well as the works of Dr. Leary, and Dr. Hoffman. But don't trust science, trust our only safe source of information: the Church. Now let's go kill us some more Galileos...

"The girl in the video looked to be having a drug induced seizure. Hopefully Youtube was able to track down her address and notify her parents."
No, they weren't. Youtube does not request people's addresses. They probably never will. And considering the fact that Salvia is legal, notifying their parents won't really do much. 13 states outlaw a new drug, then another million people do it! Not necessarily in that state, of course. I mean, if a really, uber-drug-hating state outlaws it, will people really pay attention? No, nor should they. Conservative states might may outlaw Salvia, but that doesn't mean that people outside those states should immediately stop smoking it. That's like saying people shouldn't look at websites (like yours) that are censored by the Chinese government.

I cannot believe this bullshit. First, you call LSD addicting (really? do a quick google search and you will find out it's quite the opposite). It's hard to believe that such "holy" people see no problem with spreading blatant lies and disinformation to the world, much like they do in church every sunday. Enjoy your sheltered, deceit filled lives, you stupid drones.

I just want to know if this website isn't a parody site, because whoever wrote this sounds like a moderate-to-terrible troll on some b-rate drug forum.

Honestly, as an ex-christian, my problem with the community lies herein. I'm not an uneducated, unconscious and ill-informed little lamb. Stop treating me like one.

I simply choose enlightenment through different means than you, and no quotes from a book that I have already read will change my mind. Stop trying to shame me into guilt for my actions. I am a free being, and will choose my own way, whether it be down the path you beat or another. Leave me alone, and I'll leave you be as well. If we can work together to better inform and preserve the safety of those who choose to imbibe or those who choose not to, then yes, we may be able to come to terms. But if you are going to spread unsubstantiated rumor and nonfact and push it to legislation, you have another thing coming. Just because you're a Child of God doesn't mean you don't have to check your facts.

Seek the truth, even if that may not lead you to where you think it lies.
