Religion, on the other hand, is a collection of stories whose veracity is demonstrated by nothing more than that the stories say they are true. Circular logic is never the way to prove something.

Evolution, by the way, has been essentially proven. Fossil evidence, random mutation, genetic drift in communities, “races”, etc. all demonstrate the validity of evolution as a theory. The next time you doubt evolution, ask yourself why virus vaccines become ineffective over time.

Then again, you’ll probably think that’s imaginary Yahweh’s way of punishing us for not killing all the gays.

1. Why are you intolerant of people who believe in evolution? You are allowed to send your kids to any place for schooling, send yours to a place that doesn’t believe in evolution.

(This is a rather long response to a chapter in Jonathan Wells’ dreadful and most unscholarly book, Icons of Evolution) Scientists agree that the Wells and Haeckel’s book (written before 1919) is wrong. The scientists that the author quotes as promoting this idea is wrong.
