American Flag Marie Jon“When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.” — Thomas Jefferson

President Barack Obama, you’ve overwhelmed “We The People.” Since you were given the prestige of the highest office in the land, there has not been one day of peace or tranquility for the citizens of our country. Many Americans are feeling frustrated and angered, and rightfully so.

One could say you’ve eroded away the last of the American people’s trust, respect, and patience. You’re now threatening to intrude into every facet of our daily lives, and enough is enough.

Thou shalt not bear false witness

We see you as the “number one” community organizer sitting in the White House. The members of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and union thugs are being mobilized to counter the truth at public gatherings. They are sent out for the sole purpose of confronting, threatening, intimidating, and maligning your opponents, including those among America’s elderly who’ve come to stand up for their rights at town hall meetings. — View YouTube)

Very few believe you anymore. Only those who refuse to listen to reason remain gullible. Their minds are still open to your deceptive lies. You used cunningly-crafted words and theatrics during the 2008 election to con half of America into thinking you were a special and decent man of integrity, but even your Democrat constituents are becoming aware of what you are. You and your political cronies are corrupt to the hilt, like the rest of the Daley Chicago political machine.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me

America’s citizens are patriots, and they are no longer willing to remain silent. Now they are fighting for their lives — literally — and for the future of generations to come. Indeed, your godless heath care policies pose a threat to every man, woman, and child living in this country.

You caught many of us off guard, but today we have no intention of turning back or being quieted down. Our eyes have been opened. The greatest threats facing us today have come from within our own government, and from you, playing God.

The old saying “the buck stops here” is certainly applicable in your case. It’s your administration’s recent actions — not the actions of protesters — that are un-American. You appear less and less presidential as you shake that scornful finger in our faces.

Who would ever have believed there would be a snitch website set up in America to turn in fellow citizens who disagree with your ungodly policies, or that the White House would spam personal e-mails with propaganda? This is Orwellian lunacy, and profoundly immoral.

American Flag Marie JonHonor thy father and thy mother

President Obama, your entire administration has shown us nothing less than disdain. To use words right out of the mouth of the First Lady, it is “downright mean-spirited.”

Many of the same senior citizens you are now deriding voted for you. Now, without any regard for the voices of the American public, you’ve moved us into a battlefield over “Advanced Care Planning.” No one wants to give big government the latitude to rummage through our personal health care records, and we definitely do not want government in charge of our bodies. — View YouTube)

According to America’s Affordable Health Choice Act of 2009, Section 1233 of “Advanced Care Planning,” every five years patients would be reviewed and re-evaluated. The intent is to have seniors standing in front of an admission office that would send them right into a nursing home facility, a long-term care facility, or a “hospice program.”

How dare you presume to make these decisions for our loved ones and families? We are not a euthanasia-embracing country, and we intend to remain that way.

Thou shalt not steal

Mr. President, you’ve gone down a path that only a small, twisted minority of Americans condone. How many ways do we have to say “no” to big government and your so-called social-justice philosophy? We do not want any form of socialism embedded into or replacing our republic.

We’re fed up with life-changing and comprehensive policies shoved down our throats without any input allowed. The stimulus bills have done nothing but stifle America’s free-market system. What you have done to a once-thriving economy (including what you did before you became president) is almost unforgivable. We know what took place during the Fannie and Freddie housing debacle. We understand who was to blame. You and your party have further compounded our fiscal problems, and now you seek control over our very lives — and death.

Americans find themselves forced to fend off your insidious attack on our health care system. Well-Informed people do not want rationed health care foisted upon them in what is nothing more than a power grab that will steal our God-given liberty and freedom. We have the very best medical care in the entire world. Don’t destroy it.

Thou shalt not kill

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel is the “Special Advisor for Health Policy” for your administration. Emanuel has the unmitigated gall to criticize the physician’s Hippocratic Oath. It appears that he believes it’s overused and possibly outdated. The American people are telling you to leave our doctors, nurses, and heath-caregivers alone. These dedicated men and woman are not interested in Emanuel’s strange eugenics obsessions.

American Flag Marie JonPhysicians usually take some form of the Hippocratic Oath, committing to use their power to help the sick to the best of their ability and judgment. They try to do everything they can for the patient. However, Emanuel wants doctors to look beyond individual human needs and consider “social justice.” Within his twisted mindset, it’s perfectly humane to suggest that doctors center their focus on hard, cold calculations that place more value on bureaucratically-defined budgets than people. The money could be better spent elsewhere, they are told. — View YouTube

Presumptuously, Dr. Emanuel believes that communitarianism is above reproach. It should guide decisions on who gets care. Such detached opinions lead him to say that medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens. For example, he would not provide health services to patients with dementia and other serious mental challenges.

Excerpts from The American Thinker: “Manufactured Healthcare Crisis,” by Jim Simpson —

“These are perilous times. Last November’s election of Barack Obama and a filibuster-proof majority of Democrats in both houses allowed a virulent cabal to capture our nation’s seat of power. As with the Democrat takeover of Congress in 2006, it was a disaster of epic proportions. With one shocking, enormous, blatantly partisan, self-serving and destructive proposal following on the heels of another, the sheer enormity of their power grab defies description. But as each new proposal moves forward, the hand of the Crisis Strategy becomes clear.

“If there were ever any doubt that Barack Obama personifies the Crisis Strategy, it should long since have been removed for anyone with a mind. Since so many Americans seem to have lost theirs, I address this to the rest of you. For with “God’s help,” it is you and I, not our gutless, hapless, corrupt politicians, nor our sleeping populous, that will save this country or allow it to fall. Full Article

Thou shalt not covet

Because our power-hungry president seems so anxious to impose ill-considered “change” on our nation, he might want to think about puttering in the wife’s victory garden, or finding a hobby of his own besides shooting hoops. That would be much more constructive than continually wreaking havoc with our personal lives and destroying everything we hold dear — including the land we love.

“We The People” are rightfully enraged; Obama’s intention to transform this magnificent country for the worse is finally being exposed. Our president’s anti-American, Saul Alinsky-based ideals are not compatible with the Founding Fathers’ vision or the Constitution, which has stood the test of time.

Obama White House OfficeMr. Obama, “We The People” reject your schemes and your Marxist ideology, which has been cleverly put to use to collapse our country’s monetary system.

We voted you into office, and we can show you the door. Your job, and your comings and goings, are at our pleasure. Stop spending taxpayers’ hard-earned money — immediately. “Spreading the wealth around” is socialism; understand that we want none of it. You are more than welcome to take up residency with Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez or Cuba’s Fidel Castro; or you can convince us that you don’t covet what they possess: dictatorial powers over teeming, subservient masses.

May God watch over and protect America.

  • First off, cute quote, but for the stake of stinging, he also said “Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man”. Moving on from there, hes been president for only a few months, and the right wing has whipped up this fury about “socialism”. Is it truly that scary to have a government OPTION (key word there) to insure millions of uninsured Americans so they can receive good medical treatment? Secondly, you seem to think the majority of Americans are on your side, they’re not. Stop screaming at them and listen. Thirdly, there is no medical bill to be so angry about, nothing is set in stone, they have multiple bills in the senate and house. Fourth…ly, this hiding behind religion b.s. is pathetic, and just an attempt to hide the truth, a bunch of rich, white people wanting to keep all the money and wealth in America for themselves, and the large majority of Americans (in their opinion) can go off and quietly die. The people at the town hall meetings screaming, bringing weapons near our president (which i voted for happily and would do so again), and not letting the opposition -which can be easily called “reality”- speak are whats holding this country back from moving forward to a more equal nation. As you so happily put at the beginning “When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.” You and a handful of people in each state fear the government, and I gotta say, if you fear it so much…LEAVE, the majority of us wont miss you and your hate speeches. And I leave you with this…If Thomas Jefferson were to listen to you now, he’d laugh at you all, call you crazy, and would support this health care reform

The intent is to have seniors standing in front of an admission office that would send them right into a nursing home facility, a long-term care facility, or a “hospice program.””

Close, but not quite. The government is willing to pay for an OPTIONAL consultation once every five years between a patient and his or her doctor. The topic of this consultation concerns what type of life-sustainment procedures the patient would like to receive when the time comes. It is up to the patient to decide whether the doctor should pull the plug, or try everything humanly possible to extend his or her own life. The doctors will have a performance rating based on how well they follow out their patients’ own wishes, directly effecting their pay. So, I guess it’s nothing at all like you describe.

By the way, the common misconception seems to be that everyone in the entire country will be forced to become a part of whatever healthcare system the government offers. This is simply not true. For anyone who currently has health care coverage, they will be allowed and indeed encouraged to keep it. For the people who are able to afford it, absolutely nothing will change. However, that still leaves millions of people uninsured and unable to receive any kind of care at all. They can’t even afford to get their yearly physicals.

The government is offering a situation where these uninsured people would effectively be receiving basic health care for free. It will greatly improve their standard of living simply by the fact that they will be able to go see a doctor when they get sick. It is not, however, an all inclusive plan. While it might be heartbreaking to tell a terminally ill 95 year old widow that she can’t get a new hip replacement, it does not make monetary sense to do so when a 65 year old woman would use it for much longer. On the other hand, if that terminally ill 95 year old widow was covered under her own private insurance plan (as is the only option we have currently), she would get any treatment they were willing to pay for even as the uninsured 65 year old gets hers as well.

    Excellent article.

Most of what the political left is spewing about HR 3200 is patent lies – you know, considering none of them have bothered to read it. This has been the cause of the biggest load of disinformation from our leaders in so brief a time that I am aware of – Obama is already rivaling anything that can be said about Bush. Bush, at least, can be given the benefit of a doubt about the lack of WMDs – who really knew? Plus… he was kind of stupid. Obama has fake doctors, Czars, and union goons to do his dirty work. He has MSNBC and the leftist media (whoever can say whatever they will about Fox) spreading lies and disinformation further still. For instance, MSNBC has tried to portray those in open carry states who carried weapons (who weren’t allowed in the buildings where the event took place, and the secret service is on record as saying it was not a security threat, as such things are already factored into their plans in open carry states) as racists, however… MSNBC intentionally hid from its viewing audience the skin color of the one person carrying the Assault rifle. He was black. (http://patterico.com/2009/08/19/msnbc-guys-carrying-guns-to-rallies-are-racists-especially-this-guy-whose-skin-color-we-will-now-proceed-to-hide-from-your-view) Of course, according to the left, who just a few short years ago seemed to think dissent was the greatest form of patriotism and had no problem portraying Bush as Hitler, any dissent against our current president seems to be racism. That is because the left is the biggest load of whiny hypocrites on the planets.

While I haven’t read HR 3200 personally, my older brother, a political science graduate, has. Most of the negative critiques of it are, in fact, true and then some. There is nothing good to be said for this bill. Stupid people are quick to jump on free health care without so much as a thought for the fact that many of their own congressmen/women who are voting to pass it still haven’t even read it. The death panels are indirectly true, but true none-the-less. There is constant government access to your medical and financial records, without your permission, in direct violation of the 4th amendment. It puts massive, socialistic restrictions on doctors, apparently stopping just short of telling them where they can practice. It is full of double talk, for instance, while I can’t remember the exact article numbers, there is one article saying that no aid will be given to illegals… then, just a bit later, there is an article that is essentially “foot in the door” policy for later aid to be given to illegals – paid for, of course, by the tax paying citizen. ….. and much, much, more….. this is, without question, socialistic…. and I fully believe it to have inherent within it the full intent to be “foot in the door politics.”

Of course, even the noted *humanist* psychologist Abraham Maslow pointed out that most humans aren’t of spectacular levels of consciousness, but, instead, operate solely on unconscious drives. As for those who aren’t Humanists… well… Freud wouldn’t have argued, and B.F. Skinner may have questioned whether we’re even conscious enough to be considered unconscious, but that is beside the point. Having alluded to behaviorism, essentially, Obama’s plan seems to be: offer the dogs free food, ring the bell, and watch them come running, panting and with tails wagging. They were so caught up on the free food, provided for by another (which seems to be the way the left likes it best) that they didn’t stop to realize they were led into a kennel.

JF: I don’t know about all that. Much could be done to improve race relations, but the black and white, skin deep knee jerk reactions offered by the left leave things at face value and don’t really get to the heart of the matter. ;-) It is actually a complicated issue that most people massively over-simplify. Too few on either side of the political line know what they are talking about.

Prohibiting illegals from being a drain on our system, which is a big part of California’s budget crisis, is a long shot from, in your words, “getting rid of all the spics.” For instance, we’re all aware of how some pregnant mothers have their children after crossing the border illegally. These children are entitled to welfare, and I have been informed but unable to fully verify, the mothers can, technically, move back across the border, collect welfare, and send their children to the border to be picked up by the school bus to attend American public schools. (http://www.phelpsattorneys.com/blog/lawpolicy/immigration-news-july-9-2009.htmlhttp://www.aim.org/special-report/6-billion-a-year-for-mexican-anchor-babies/http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2009/mar/budget-crisis-forces-cut-free-illegal-immigrant-health-care.)

The US is a nation of immigrants, but we’re also a nation of laws…. and there are those who try to milk our system for all they can. There are those who violate those laws in order to become a drain on our system, and, while I’ve had a hard time finding information on the effects of illegal immigration on legal immigration, it stands to reason that the illegals end up costing those who try to enter our country legally.

AN: I think, statistically, the majority of both groups affiliate as Christian.

djavulen: From the context of your post, I’ll assume you aren’t from around these here parts. So go fuck yourself.

That said, I agree, a lot can be done. However, an obviously broken system should be fixed before we layer more government stupidity on top of it.

Some suggestions include Tort reform, which I disagree with, because it caps the amount a person can sue for in the event of malpractice (and this would include genuine malpractice.) I can’t speak for anyone else, but I know, personally, if I’m having surgery on my elbow and a doctor clips my nuts off, I want to sue the fucker for all he is worth. Now, granted, some liberals might want to give the doctor an award, but the feeling would be mutual… so they, too, can go fuck themselves.

That said, however, two of the largest costs in health care are “over testing” and the price of medical malpractice insurance – which can EASILY run from $100,000 to $200,000 per year. We live in a sue-crazy culture. Ideas which have been suggested, and seem to have shown effect in places where they have been implemented, is to make the loser in a medical malpractice case pay the full cost for both parties (cutting down on frivolous law suits) and to have each case reviewed by a board of medical experts before they even go to trial. this should cut down on the cost of what is being referred to as, “defensive medicine” or the massive costs of repetitive testing and other “sue prevention” methods. Strangely, certain types of insurance are also unable to cross state lines, which seems ludicrous. I don’t know as much about that particular detail as I perhaps should.

Having watched the video of the local town hall, one gentleman came up with a particularly interesting suggestion. That we should own our own health insurance. While most Americans who get their insurance through work are satisfied with it, it really limits the market and pops a middle man in between the consumer and the insurer. If we paid for our own insurance, and truly owned it, you’d start seeing commercials with a little gecko running around in a nurses outfit and consumer customizable packages with rates compared to the competitors advertised on TV…. and they’d virtually have to be competitive and quality services.

Satan: It is spelled “Christian.” Go back and read what I said in my first post about the dog. Then read what I said in the beginning of this post about oversimplification. Then, do me a favor…. go look in the mirror, put the two together, and think REALLY hard, ok?

Where were you when an unjust war was fought in Gods name?

Where were you when Liberty destroying laws cloaked in patriotism were passed?

Thomas, I’m not really sure who you’re talking to, since I don’t believe the Original Poster mentioned Bush. I think I’m the only person who did, and I called him stupid… so…..

Considering the discussion in all forms was about what Obama is doing, and had nothing to with Bush, and what Bush did or did not do in the past is technically irrelevant to the discussion about what Obama is currently doing in the present you’re entire case is a Red Herring, which is a logical fallacy. (http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/red-herring.html) Bush could have been Satan himself – that has no bearing on what Obama is currently doing.

Thus, your entire point is fallacious and not worth considering. At all. Period.

Of course, I wouldn’t expect a leftist to have any grasp of logic, but instead dribble the same sticky, sappy, mindlessly emotive spew that I have become very accustomed to hearing… and that you very clearly spray out of your mouth (or fingertips, as the case may be) straight from your pathetic bleeding heart. Feelings are not intended to be thought with, but the left seems to try very hard all the same.

All that said, despite the fact that your case isn’t worth dealing with, there are some things I want to say about it. You know, to inform the viewing public because I care, and we’re all about caring and sharing here, right? So, break out your granola and imported bottled water, shut your “cultured” (read: pretentious), pseudo-intellectual art-student mouth, and open your hippie ears… Maybe I’ll help to trigger a surge of testoserone into your blood steam, because, obviously, you are sorely lacking.

I agree with you about his unjust laws…. it should probably be noted that is no small part of what has gotten us to this point. The majority of the nation actually affiliates conservative, even more so than moderates, and the majority of presidents for quite some time have been conservative (I actually found this reference to the gallup polls while looking up the precise number: http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/52602 you can also check the Gallup polls yourself.) From 1900-present you have a 3/5 to 2/5 republican lead. (http://www.laughtergenealogy.com/bin/histprof/misc/olio/history.html)….

Essentially through the propagandized empty rhetoric of “change” that… he never bothered to explain, but too many people were too stupid to notice… because a lot of people were sick of Bush… (as Obama himself said, “My advisers tell me that if I talk about the economy I’m going to win, so I’m going to talk about the economy.. Change… change… change…” “Um… change to what?” “Change!!” “Change to change? What?” “CHANGE!!!!” “Uhhh……” — and fucktards voted for this guy…. If I had any faith in my fellow man to begin with, that would have done it in..)

Priceless quote — McCain: “I’m not Bush!!”

Anyway, that said, you testicle lacking hippie, who is probably beaten by your woman, if you have even the balls to get one who beats you (after all, women like a challenge) — how do you try to spew out the asinine nonsense that the war was unjustified? We *were* attacked, unless you’re one of these schizo conspiracy theorists…. we did depose a tyrant…. we did liberate a people from the worst, most extreme, and corrupt examples of theocratic nut-jobs their religion has to offer (even fundies don’t strap explosive vests to them and run in to a crowd of civilians – and I doubt very seriously their “preachers” try to talk them in to it.) Certainly one could question government motives and the fact that we did move on Iraq, a sovereign nation, about a decade late, but, on the over-all…. what we did was a good thing.

As for Healthcare…. (I accidentally dug this up while looking for something else: http://www.businessandmedia.org/printer/2007/20070718153509.aspx …. and this calls into question even the claims I am about to make…. BUT…) the common number throw around is that 47 million, or 1 in 6 Americans are uninsured…. that is roughly 16.66%. It is also assumed that about 19 million of those are illegals, which lowers the number, by common assumption, to 28 million uninsured. This means, 1 in 10 to 1 in 11 natural born citizens are uninsured. 90% or better are actually insured, if the commonly tossed about numbers are valid.

As for you commentary on soldiers coming home to where it is safe…. I come from a military family, I once planned on joining the military until I was partially guilt tripped into being a college boy (partially, my own drive for success, and partially my own cynicism and jadedness about and distrust for the government) and I have more than a few military friends. I wouldn’t worry about our soldiers, most of them knew full well what they were getting themselves in to. YOU are trying to force your own crybaby mentality on to them.

Some fucktards sign up for the college money, sure…. but, if they are stupid enough to sign up for the military for college money, and are never expecting to have to serve……. then they probably deserve to get shot.

Now past the fallacies (only took 3 paragraphs)

In what way are they right? Socially? Morally? Economically? (fun fact the Republican parties economic platform is technically far left)

Change I can believe in. Well http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/ is 500 specific changes and promises he made, so thats bullshit.

(back to the fallacies) I’m still not a hippie, I’m barely left of the middle. We were attacked yes by Al Queada who trained in Afghanstan funded by Saudi Money so we invaded the two countries responible Afghanstan and Saudi—-wait a minute. I agree Afghanstan was just but Iraq had nothing to do with terrorists (Despots don’t like terrorists as a rule) and we killed more then he did since the 80s.

300 million Americans (thats legal) with 47 million uninsured would be 1/6 as you said. I call bullshit on the rest of it.

I’m looking into ROTC and I grew on a Marine base I know they chose to go and that is good, its our governments responibility to keep them out of harms way when they’re not needed to be. and I agree sign up for the college money and don’t want to go to war? its called Community college

    • Whats the problem with my comment? I would gladly allow any factual (ie source it) errors to be edited. Is it because I’m not the same as you in? I’m not in the unthinking majority?

  • Didn’t bother reading the article just want to know where in the Commandments does it say, “You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife but covetting him is perfectly alright”

Because I think that’s the only commandment the writers of these articles follow.

  • I touched Claire

    Thomas:

“No I’m not claiming yuou were a Bush bootlicker but a lot of people who hate Obamas power were and hes tryiung to bridge the gap, unlike Rove/Bush.”

You haven’t really been following this whole to-do, have you?

He isn’t bridging any gap. He has a far left, essentially socialist view of government, reflected by much of the policy causing dissent. None of what is presently going on has to do with the dissenters hating his power because they are Bush boot-lickers, and that is a naive assertion. There is a democratic majority in congress, and he still doesn’t have the power to push through Obamacare. Why? Because he is creating division, and that includes amongst his own party. This is why the “Blue Dog” Democrats are in the spotlight in the news, presently. It isn’t only Republicans dissenting.

Obama is loosing support faster than Bush, because he is trying to force feed the people some socialist crap: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

Further, in no small part thanks to Bush, but with much credited to Obama, already, many of which were (already proven justifiable) negative expectations of the left and its big government policy, you have a growing secession movement. “I’m not a leftist, well compared to normal people you’re so far right Rebulicans are moderates aren’t they.”

    Republicans are girlie men.

“Thanks for saying I’m an art student, I”m actually a engineering student. Please no testorone, I’m already muscle bound enough. Also I don’t share weell with others, and caring is for idiots.”

Funny, based on your response I had you pegged for a granola eating, group hug giving, circle jerk having, tree-hugging, commune-bred hippie on the verge of anemia due to your vegetarian diet with a schizophrenic, emotion based skew on one random liberal art or another. Reading it, I would have expected you to be very in touch with your feelings.

“In what way are they right? Socially? Morally? Economically?”

Clarify. Right as in correct or right wing? Specifically what part of what I was saying are you refering to?

“(fun fact the Republican parties economic platform is technically far left)”

On what do you base this? The far left economic platform is socialism/communism. I’m expecting I’m going to have to clarify your confusion on political philosophy.

“Change I can believe in. Well http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/ is 500 specific changes and promises he made, so thats bullshit.”

I doubt any politician would intentionally make 500 promises. That is setting themselves up for failure. Most of what I heard when I listened to him was empty rhetoric, and most of what I still hear is the same. At a “Tea Party” hosted by Fox News (you can probably find some video yourself, I’m not looking) a black woman who’d voted for him said she felt he was “obfuscating” about HR 3200. Someone probably glossed over what he was saying with a fine toothed comb and concocted that list. To be fair, I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and eventually look over it. It may give me more ammo. :-D

“I agree Afghanstan was just but Iraq had nothing to do with terrorists (Despots don’t like terrorists as a rule) and we killed more then he did since the 80s.”

Research Al Sadr (Al is not his first name, that is his last name.) He was an extremist Cleric connected with terrorism. He was just one of many extremist clerics operating in Iraq.

There are Terrorist groups other than Al-Qaeda, which Iraq was considered to have involvement with. Our efforts did expand from simply taking out Al-qaeda to a general sense of, “Screw all these psycho, extremist, martyr-wannabe, self-detonating, suicide bombing fuckers.” (http://www.cfr.org/publication/9513/http://www.milnet.com/pentagon/centcom/iraq/Terrorism-in-Iraq.html )

“300 million Americans (thats legal) with 47 million uninsured would be 1/6 as you said. I call bullshit on the rest of it.”

Call what you want. I’m a conservative, I’m not given to emotional flights of fancy… I have facts on my side.

In his town hall the other day (where he also discusses the Czars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fd_j_6nAVvI) McCain mentions a conservative estimate of 11 million. My original source, which I’ve misplaced, said 19. Many are estimating an easy 20 million. In all cases, it is assumed included in the 47 million figure. (http://www.reuters.com/article/healthNews/idUSTRE57G53I20090817http://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/obama_illegals_healthcare/2009/07/19/237484.htmlhttp://www.csmonitor.com/2006/0516/p01s02-ussc.htmlhttp://www.theamericanresistance.com/ref/illegal_alien_numbers.html)

Even a figure of 11 or 12 million deducted from the total means that only 1 in 9 citizens are uninsured. Additionally, many working 20-somethings don’t take insurance while employed. I’ve usually been one. They’re factored in too. Not to say that healthcare couldn’t be made more cost effective – just to say that this socialist spew isn’t what it appears to be, and is nowhere near necessary, even if we did nothing else.

“its our governments responibility to keep them out of harms way when they’re not needed to be.”

Again, regardless of certain potentially questionable motives, most soldiers I know support what they’ve done overall.

For the time we’ve been over there…. our casualty rates are really low. Less than 6,000. Compare to Vietnam or Korea….. or WWI or WWII….

The body armor is actually really good. I have a friend who was a Medic, and most of the injuries he treated were to extremities.
