4-Year-Old Hippie Suspended For Long Hair

A four-year-old hippie child was recently suspended from a Texas-school, where his long-flowing locks brought great distraction to the classroom.
Young men need to have appropriate haircuts and beware that if they do not, punishment will follow. This young hippie’s hair shows he embraces a life of smoked drugs, avoiding baths and attending prostituted concerts. None of this has a place in the classroom.
The boy child will face complete expulsion from the school district if he does not soon cut that hair to proper lengths, and for now is properly segregated just as any person with offensive hair, color or dress should be if they are distracting to the normal classroom students.

He’s only 4 and already he’s bucking authority. This kid has an attitude and will end up in jail by the time he’s a teen at this rate. I’m happy the school is teaching him that if he does not conform to being normal, he will be set aside and shunted from society.

Scissors were commonly known and used since about 2500 years ago. Maybe more, I can’t remember, but there’s mention of a rough instrument similar to scissors and with similar application in the Ilyad.

Bob, that’s an absolutely asinine remark. There are also busts, paintings, etc. from the same time period (think Roman empire) that shows both men and women with short hair.
Also, scissors were invented approximately 1500 BCE (that’s Before the Common Era, for you religious wingnuts). So I’m sure there were a plethora of them when/if Jesus walked the earth.

It is comforting to see children being disciplined properly for once. That childs hair is completely out of control. They are in Texas, after all, so maybe protective services will step in and give the child to some good, non-hippie parents and give those reckless idoits who let him run around looking like a little girl to the chair. 90% of the guys in my high school class had long hair. I don’t know any that turned out gay. It was generally the short haired kids that were called queer.

The best solution is to have monthly school screenings. The school nurse should have a medical file and requirement to check all students for signs of abuse, grooming (including giving a standard haircut, if required) and social/physical progress (weight, coordination, psychological).
If anything deviates from the norm, social services should be contacted and the kid taken away if the parents refuse to take steps to correct the error.

How dare you compare the hair of that sinchild to the flowing locks of Christ. Jesus, along with his contemporaries, wore their hair longer. Christ’s hair was fine as depicted in all the pictures in the Renaissance.

This is outrageous. Just because this child has beautiful long hair does not mean he is a hippie. From watching the video, he is obviously not refusing to bathe, and being only 4 years old, that certainly does not mean he participates in any sort of “smoked drugs and prostituted concerts.” This article just proves that Christians are the most judgmental group of people. Just because someone does not fit the “Christian profile” on the outside does not mean that they are a bad person. I am a 19 year old female from Tennessee and I have been judged by almost every person I have ever encountered that called themselves a “Christian” because I do not fit the profile. Just because I like to dye my hair odd colors and get tattoos and piercings does not mean in any way that I am a bad person. Maybe some people who consider themselves a “Christian” need to reevaluate their beliefs. There is no need for anyone to ever persecute a 4 year old child because he looks different than others. This is extremely upsetting and I now remember why I have stayed away from churches, Christian schools, and Christians in general for the majority of my life – because I am different. And I accept that, although many people do not.

Oh no, a child with long hair.
I am a practising Catholic, I am a teacher at a Catholic school, I have dreadlocks down to my butt.
I have 4 children, three daughters and one son, my son, age 16, has long hair, he wears it in a ponytail.
Oh and we live in a drug free household.
For all those who think that social services should step in, as someone who works with kids I can guarantee you that social services ahve alot more on their plate to deal with, children who actually are being abused and neglected.

Its a ridiculous rule. Part of parenting is teaching your children to not blindly follow whatever some individual on a power trip demands, but to question why.
I teach young boys with longer hair than that, if its proving a distraction in class then that is a serious flaw with the teacher, not the child.

As an educator, you should be able to correctly use “it’s” as opposed to “its”. If your students had proper haircuts, perhaps we wouldn’t see such errors. Who cares about following grammatical rules though, right?
I’m not trying to harp on correct language usage, but rather illustrate a point. We have to teach children to follow rules, so when they get older they don’t fall into the habit of neglecting other rules. By allowing this boy to grow his hair, he’ll learn to break rules. Not just grooming, but perhaps academic, criminal, job and who knows what other institution where a set of rules and functions exist. Make sense?

My parents smoked weed a lot, and got their educations in high school AND college. They also knew several other people who smoked even more weed than them, has hair to their asses, and were on the fucking quiz teams, and also had gotten educations. Long hair is predominantly natural, and weed is also proven by legitimate studies to improve school focus. The only reason it has a notoriety is because people blame their failure on weed instead of their own stupidity.
