Pat Robertson Haiti Comments, Pact With The Devil
Pat Robertson has accused Haiti of having a pact with the devil. His revelation occurs only a day after a massive earthquake which has an estimated death toll between 100,000 and 500,000 people.
According to Pat Robertson:
“‘Many years ago, the island’s people “swore a pact to the devil.”
“Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it.”
“They were under the heel of the French…and they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, ‘We will serve you if you’ll get us free from the French.’”
Robertson continued: “True story. And so the devil said, ‘OK, it’s a deal.‘ They kicked the French out. The Haitians revolted and got themselves free. Ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after the other.”
Dear friends, you cannot say Haiti with saying hate. Why would such things as vile dictators, cannibal death gangs, horrible tempests of nature and minority rule be allowed to come upon a land?
The answer, it is what you find in a land without God. The people of Haiti use voodoo as their official religion. Pat Robertson has given irrefutable proof of how these people put out their collective hands to Satan to shake for a dark pact. Satan said ‘Okay, good’. Now, it seems, they are paying an ultimate price.
Beware, sinners. All contracts with Satan are deceptions and God is the ultimate guarantor. The only thing a contract with Satan guarantees you with is a place in the hottest place of hell. Whoa into those who suffer such a fiery fate.

I’ll gladly put a bullet in Robertson’s head for saying what he did.

That makes you no better than he is. He’s just talking about the Vodoo. Just because it is useful sometimes doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a Dark side.

I’m really disappointed with Robertson here. This is a time for advocating aide and assistance for these poor people.
Instead of sowing dissent, he should be campaigning to raise funds to aide the people of Haiti.

After reading Pat Robertson’s comments on Haiti having a pact with the devil, one can only feel sorry for the people that follow him. I won’t call him a bigot to his face. I won’t say he is just plain ignorant.
Warped is probably too kind a word also.
Frankly, if there were a heaven and hell and he was going to heaven, I would request God to make sure I went to hell, because I sure wouldn’t want to be around him and people like him.

The only “irrefutable evidence” is that Pat Robertson is certifiable. Why any intelligent Christian would listen to his pap is unbelievable.

Well I for one would like to say “you go, boy!” to Pat for telling it like it is and not being afraid to speak truth to power. As the author of this article so wisely stated — “you can’t spell Haiti without hate.” Do you really think that’s a coincidence?
Pat Robertson is a man known to always speak the truth. He’s never been invovled in any of those scandals that so plague the televangelist movement, and he has truly established himself as a voice we can all trust. So when he tells us about the pact between Haiti and the devil, and assures us it’s a “true story” — I say that’s proof enough for me! After all — the man speaks to God, so why would he lie? Then God might not talk to him anymore.
If only the Haitians would have seen the truth in the loving message brought to humanity by Jesus, the merciful lamb, they would have certainly been spared this disaster. Apparently, they would rather listen to The Horned One with their hippity-hop jungle music and acting “black” all the time, and so they probably got what they deserve. As Pat says, this is a blessing in disguise. Now that they’ve seen the wrath of God, surely it will put some sense into their feeble brains and they will come to the Lord.

I really cant believe what I’m reading, some of this sounds so ignorant your must be joking. You cant say ‘Haiti without saying hate’ really? Haiti is the English translation of Ayiti which means land of the mountains. And this nonsense story about a deal with the devil, sounds like some racist who, couldn’t face the fact that a bunch of slaves defeated the French, cooked it up. I mean really how ignorant are you to sit there and listen to this. If you ever been to Haiti or been to a Haitian community in the US you would see a people so rich in faith. Even now when their country is destroyed when they have a reason to question their God their faith remains intact. Open your eyes people stop eating up this nonsense their feeding you.

Pat Robinson is a sharlatan and anyone who believes otherwise is just refusing to look at his history. Like many demigods, Roberson has predicted the end of the world, which did not come to pass. He has become a millionaire off his ministries using his non-profit status to run operations like diamond mines in Zaire (God help anyone who works in those mines). His first child was conceived out of wedlock and he at first lied about that. He lied about his failure in the legal bar exams. He used to claim that he could prevent hurricanes with his power of prayer and that God speaks to him in audible voices. In short, Pat Robinson is like every other religious sharlatan that has ever existed. If you think he has some special knowledge about Haiti and its relationship with God, you are just using him to justify your own ignorance and racism.

At the same time that Pat Robertson is saying these things about the Haitians his Ministry is sending them medical and other humanitarian assistance. So how about at least giving him some credit for that. Plus you dont know that Haiti may have made a pact with the devil and their voodoo worship sure hasn’t ever helped them. I mean look at their extreme poverty and their inability to break that constant cycle. I mean they could be cursed due to their sinful behavior. Besides, maybe God didn’t cause it but just allowed it to happen because they have turned away from him and toward voodoo which is a demonic religion.
