California Changes Name of Negrohead Mountain in Malibu

Hey local MLO bros. Negrohead mountain has been renamed after a black pioneer, all because some people complained to the local counsel that the mountain’s name was racist.

I think renaming public places is pretty bogus. Not only does it make the issue of “race” an issue again, but it ruins the names we have for places in our locales. We all knew the mountain as the big negro and really, no one took offense to it here: blacks, whites or anyone.

Some groups from OUTSIDE our area, however, caught wind of this and made it a big court issue and got all sorts of activists involved. It’s this type of petty nonsense that is ruining America for everyone.

The mountain has been called Negrohead since the 60s, and before that, something else. Now all of a sudden, it is going to be called Ballard Mountain. Lame.

It is being named after a black explorer named John Ballard, also a blacksmith and slave, who bought land on the mountain during the 1800s.

    • It is part of the black agenda. They want white people who are alive today to keep atoning for them being slaves way back in the 1860s. They need to get over it and let the healing take place. We are all equals but if they keep making race an issue, they are just going to keep causing division.

    • Would Jesus agree that it should remain an offensive name? I think not. The site doesn’t deserve to be called “Christ”Wire. I have live in the area of Ballard Mountain my entire life, and despite the author’s comments, it has always been rather embarrassing to us.
