Ghost Hunters is an evil TV show that airs on the SyFy cable channel. On it they teach people how to play with Satanic spirits and Oiuja boards. God does not ordain these things and therefore it is sin in his eyes.
It is no secret that God once flooded the entire Earth for sin. God promised to never destroy the Earth win a flood again, but he said nothing about flooding entire cities until everything is drowned for wickedness.
In 1995 God flooded the Midwest. Cities fell into deep river water because the Midwest betrayed God for voting for Democrat Bill Clinton. God wanted them to repent and in 1996, to vote for a Republican. They refused again and God plagued the Midwest with disease, drought and tough winters.
Now we see Rhode Island is being flooded for hosting Ghost Hunters. Ghost Hunters is a secret Satanic sect known as TAPS (Transatlantic Paranormal Society). You can interchange Society for Satan in that acronym, because that is what this show represents.
God has grown tired of how this show is opening portals to hell and playing with those spirits. It is not right or moral and is evil.
Rhode Island will continue to gasp for air as its lungs fill with raw rainwater. The citizens will fill their airways clog and not be able to breathe but to yelp out for help and mercy for God. I pray if they don’t cancel Ghost Hunters soon, their pleas fall on death ears and they suffocate under the sulfurous fumes of hell for what they do!

As a minister myself I find the accusations on this site revolting. I don’t see how people who write articles(if you can even call them that) are even considered real Christians, given that Christian means Christ like and I don’t remember the last time I saw a “Christian” walk on water. What TAPS does and other ghost hunting teams in general do is normal, they are looking to find answers, help the deceased who haven’t gone to the light find their way or fix what is holding them here. To blasphemize something with lies on how they do what they do is shameful, and should be removed. The shows that focus on the people who are provoking spirits and doing nasty things like use oujia boards and trying to get the evil in the area to show up are the ones that need to be stopped and that is something the christian community can get together on. Those people who have died that can’t pass on because they have something else they have to do are the ones that need taps help, and ghost hunting groups that are professional and treat places and people living and dead with respect.

The simple fact is, God keeps His own mysteries. He doesn’t force us to do anything. Why should the afterlife be any different? He doesn’t force us to “come home” right away. Some people choose to stay behind for whatever reason. Sometimes they get lost. He sends angels back to try and guide them, but no one can be forced. We read in the book of Revelations that it was Satan’s plan to force everyone to return to God.
That doesn’t make them evil or demons, just lost and confused. No Priest on Earth, no matter how much supposed authority he has, can “cast them out,” any more than he could walk into a room full of people and try to cast them out. We’re still talking about human souls.
Who do you call when this happens? I don’t know how many times I’ve either helped or heard stories of people who called their Priest over to “bless their home” several times with no results. Sometimes the cause of their fear isn’t even paranormal, so it does no good anyway. Your clergy aren’t going to look for EMF leaks, banging pipes, or other natural causes. That’s where trained investigators like myself or my fellow investigators (like the TAPS team) come in. We actually take the time to understand the problem and help people deal with it, rather than assigning it to “the work of Satan.”
God also gave the sign of the rainbow that He would never flood the earth again, so please make sure you use the whole of the scriptures when trying to prove your point rather than selective parts.

I watched the entire Death Note series and then subsequently purchased the graphic novels. Not only do they depict what would occur should God be all punishing, they also show what would happen should man deem himself God. Love them.

See, here’s the thing. You really shouldn’t be writing about something you know nothing about. Many times in the Bible God tells us not to judge otherwise we will be judged with our own measure. I have NEVER seen TAPS use a Quija board, and I’ve been watching the show since it started airing. When they think they are dealing with a demon in a family’s home, and the family requests a blessing, they DO have an investigator that is pastor, I think. I don’t remember exactly what he was, but I remember him being in the older episodes with his twin. Thing is, they never really know WHAT they are dealing with, whether it be a human spirit, or a demon.
TAPS are not paid by the people who call them. They investigate these places for free. It’s Syfy that pays them. So, Adam, I don’t know how many episodes you’ve ‘reviewed’, but when they want the spirit to make itself known, they will provoke it, and they say this ALL the time when they are doing the provoking. They do not need to preach the scripture, as they are not trying to exorcise it. That’s what pastors/priests are for. And none of them that a currently on the show are of the clergy. And another thing, if they are dealing with more than just a spirit, then they are trying to get it to trust them so they can understand why it is in the house or building, NOT be friends. How can you be friends with a demon or a spirit?

Wow! I don’t even know where to begin, but let me give it a whirl.
First of all, if you’re going to publish articles on a web-site and expect to be taken seriously, you should learn English and how to spell. One example: I think you mean deaf ears, not death ears. But, based on the way that you think the entire human race, except for you of course, are sinners and should b e condemned to eternal damnation, maybe you did mean death ears.
Secondly, if you expect to be taken seriously, you also should never comment on subjects that you are not 100% familiar with. Example: Had you watched the show, you would know that they do NOT use Ouija boards during investigations. TAPS also stands for The Atlantic Paranormal Society, not Transatlantic Paranormal Society.
Third, I believe that your God is the same God that I pray to. And my God finds it a far larger abomination to be intolerant of others and not to forgive. My God also reserves the right to be the sole being to pass judgement. So, as far as my God is concerned, YOU will be the one to burn in hell, not Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, who seek only the truth through scientific means. I also had the pleasure of meeting Jason and Grant recently. And, I can tell you that they opened up their doors to over 100 people, welcomed us with open arms, and made us feel like an extended part of their family. Do you think that your God would choose to receive you into his kingdom over them? They are friendly and warm, and always willing to lend a hand and make others feel better. You are distanced and cold, passing judgement on others and never turning that judgement around to see how you yourself are failing your fellow b rethren, and more importantly your God. To me, knowing that there are ghosts and demons out there, only reaffirms my religious teachings. It affirms to me that there IS something after we leave our physical bodies. First, let me say, maybe you should get your facts straight before you go off on a tirade against something. TAPS is not a secret druid sect. Wherever you got that preposterous idea is beyond me. TAPS does not recite chants, hold seances, call upon demons, nor do they use or even condone the use of Ouija boards. They simply go to places where people already believe there is paranormal activity and attempt to prove or disprove it’s existence. Also Ghost Hunters Academy is not for recruiting children for Satan. It is a spin off of Ghost Hunters in which over 18 (that means adults) interested people APPLY if they are interested and from that application pool are auditioned and eventually a team is chosen.
Second, God is not flooding Rhode Island because of TAPS. He loves Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes and team just as much as He loves you and I. Being the loving and just God that He is, He would give Jason and Grant, as well as the whole state of Rhode Island the chance to admit they’re sinners and by His grace find salvation. God gave us free will for a reason. He is no longer going to destroy us for not choosing Him. He is reserving that eternal punishment for those who do not proclaim Him as Christ in Hell.
Third, God didn’t flood or bring disease to the Midwest because they didn’t vote Republican. God is neither Republican nor Democrat. There are just as many grace saved Christians who are Democrat as there are who are Republican.
So please, stop being judgmental hypocrites, and make sure you get your facts straight before you start condemning people and giving loving, Christ-like, biblical Christians a bad rap.

I found a few errors, by the way, and I’d like to help you out. We’ll be ignoring all your errors in logic and most of your facts, since they’re numerous and I don’t think you could handle the truth. Aside from those, however, in paragraph 1, you have stated that TAPS is in New Jersey, but Warwick is in Rhode Island. I have seen every episode of this show, and so far, no Satanic spirits or Ouija boards.
In your second paragraph, you have written, “God promised to never destroy the Earth win a flood again, but he said nothing about flooding entire cities until everything is drowned for wickedness”. This sentence is incredibly weak, and seems to have been written by a fourth grader. At the very least, please change “win” to “with”, because nothing in this article “wins” at anything.
I would mention the 3rd paragraph, but I have already decided to avoid the most obvious of your idiocies, so that’s out. Moving on, you’ve mentioned that we readers should substitute “Satan” in for “Society” in the acronym of TAPS. However, I’d like to point out that that doesn’t really work. Did you try saying it aloud to yourself? “Transatlantic Paranormal Satan” sounds like you have Tourettes Syndrome.
In the second to last paragraph “right or moral” is redundant.
The paragraph begs the question of whether or not you’ve bothered looking at weather reports and doing your research here. After a cursory glance a couple of weather sites, I have to conclude that you don’t know how to do research, and you’re letting a cat type for you. Also, you need to change “fill” to “feel” for one cannot “fill their airways clog”. I recommend as well that you take an anatomy class; if one’s lungs are full of water so they cannot breathe, then, I assure you, it is physically impossible to call out to your God in another way but mentally.
So in summary, please learn to spell and fact check.

I would also like to call you attention to a historic figure filled with these dark intent. Really? Have you *ever* seen the show? They don’t do anything like that. They don’t use psychics, they don’t use oiuja boards, and they don’t deal with ‘Satanic spirits’.
For that matter, in the early seasons, they debunked most of the places they went. They go to more ‘historically haunted’ places now, but even in those places, they don’t find a lot of ‘ghosts’. At most, they usually say things like ‘you have some activity we can’t explain.’
Some of their early members, both on and off the show, *were priests*! They typically blessed homes and buildings and quietly promoted Christianity as a solution for ‘paranormal activity’.
Really, the author of this little blog might want to occasionally, just occasionally, know what they’re talking about.
As for the rest of the garbage about places being punished:
Much of the Midwest has typically voted liberal, Clinton was no change. And there are many places with many more votes that are far more liberal than the Midwest. Where are their floods, droughts, and diseases?

I have to say I haven’t read such ignorance in a long time. I am a christian, a true christian, which means I help those in need, and I do not judge others for their interests or beliefs. I would think that what TAPS does is show that there is life beyond this earth, which God has promised us. They are showing people that life does exist on another plane, after death. I have seen every TAPS episode and not once have they played with a spirit board, nor have they EVER called for Satan. I mean please. And no, it is not a fact that God flooded the whole earth. Sure, there was a flood but it flooded a great area, which to the people living there was their whole world. They never traveled away from their own area except to hunt and even then would not have traveled fantastic distances.
It’s more a fact to say (since it’s a scientific fact) that the Bosphorus broke and the water flowed down into what is now the Black Sea. The proof that not everyone died is found in the following abstract where there is proof of not only an influx of people moving inland, but that a new form of farming cropped up over night in other locations because the people of that flood area of the Bosphorus moved inland and brought their trades with them.
In this abstract, note the sentence where they say abruptly and then note the sentence about “permanent expulsion of inhabitants”. There’s your flood victims that survived.

I would like to take this opportunity to say I am a born again Christian. I have read this article and am quite uncomfortable with it. Let me explain why. I love the assumption made by Stephenson Billings in his last comment stating that young people can be led into “stupidity and evil” by watching such shows as Ghost Hunters. To also assume that these people have never had strong father figures in their lives is absurd. There’s a huge case of narrow-mindedness here but given the nature of all of SB’s remarks I doubt this will change. Tunnel vision is a terrible thing when you can’t accept other peoples perspectives because of what you believe.
To again go completely off topic and state that people find refuge in homosexuality – really? Find refuge. They turn gay as it’s a way out? This clearly highlights how little Mr. Billings has been educated over the course of his life. Being gay isn’t something you find refuge in, it’s something you are. Much like the rest of the world are heterosexual some people are gay. It’s a fact.
However the argument here isn’t about being gay or any other badly, misinformed article that appears on various pages of this website. I’m honestly taken back by how extreme and misleading this website is to followers of the Christian faith for those expecting to find some kind of answers to questions they may have.
Ghost Hunters did not deserve to be flooded. It was an act of God. Are we talking the same language yet? It could happen to anyone as it has happened to myself recently in the UK. Is this because I watch Ghost Hunters? Likely not and I’d say a combination of heavy rain, bad reservoir management and no flood defences caused this.
Again not steering too far away from the matter in hand. This is possibly one of the most misleading, ridiculous, incorrect articles I’ve had the displeasure of coming across on any website in quite some time – prompting this response.
What we have here on-line is a very racist, homophobic, misled and and narrow-minded website. If there was any actual facts then there would be grounds to argue, sadly there isn’t, and it’s a bunch of extremists from the Christian faith giving God, Jesus and all associated with this faith a bad name.

I know that when you die you can go to heaven or to hell even, but what happens to those who run from the light? Those who are afraid to think that they are dead? So, the flooding that happened in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids and parts of Missouri, in the middle of the “Bible Belt”, was deserved for voting for a Democrat at one point in time? Okay, I have two things to say. First, if this meant to satirical in anyway, it’s funny.
However, if it’s not, it’s downright mean and untruthful. I am a casual fan of the show, and I will admit that I do believe in the paranormal. So, I have actually WATCHED the show and READ their books. Let me “debunk” some of these claims.
1) The show is not “pro-witch”. I think the closest things to witches they have had on the show are pagans.
2) They have NEVER used voodoo or an Ouji board of any kind. (They had the Ouija-No-More award, and, in their books, they make it pretty clear they discourage the Ouija board.)

There are so many things I personally find wrong with this article. First and foremost, the bad spelling and grammatical errors. If you choose to take the time to condemn and slander, at least take the time to get the spelling corrected before you post. Then, there is the issues on the facts. Before spreading lies and performing slander, get your facts straight so that you will have a more believable case.
If you truly are a Christian, should you not be doing something to help with the relief efforts for the victims of the natural disasters instead of wasting your time spreading such hateful words on a subject you obviously know nothing about? I often wonder how people such as yourself would react in a life or death situation. If someone is there to save you, will you take the time to find out what their beliefs are before accepting their help? Will you not accept help from those who are not of the same beliefs as you?

If you purchase everything you use, chances are, someone you are spreading lies and hate about worked hard to provide those comforts for you. As I said, we all need one another in order to survive.
We should embrace the differences of others so that we may learn from them. We do not always have to agree with the beliefs of others but we should at least do our best to respect them.
I do sincerely hope that you will take what I have said into consideration before you write another article. If it is your choice to continue to spread the lies and hate, and condemn when it is not your place to do so, at least take the time to get your facts straight before putting your own view into place.

Let me preface this by saying this is a rather lengthy post, and forgive me if any of the coding below does not work.
1st paragraph:
TAPS’ (short for The Atlantic Paranormal Society, as so many have already pointed out) mission is to, first and foremost, debunk any so-called hauntings people report. To do so, they bring in many high-tech equipment (and sometimes low-tech) to disprove the reports. Once they (rigorously) analyze all the evidence during their stay at a location, they bring the ones they cannot explain (if there’s anything) to the owner of the property. Then they let them listen to it and draw their own conclusions as to whether or not their property’s haunted. According to Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, out of all their cases, approximately 15% to 20% of cases are deemed “haunted”. This figure may or may not be accurate as I am relying on my memory here. They mention this figure in their book, “Seeing Spirits”.
They and their wonderful team do all this work without any payment on behalf of the property owner(s) whatsoever, and all teams affiliated with TAPS also do not accept payment. Since they are never paid for their work, all members have day jobs, which are varied.
So therefore, they do NOT “teach people how to play with Satanic spirits”. They also have never condoned the use of Ouija boards in order to contact spirits, and they have never used one. Once you open a door between the two worlds with one, it is very difficult to close it. They have repeatedly stressed to everyone that Ouija boards ARE dangerous and are not to be taken lightly. (This is also covered in their book, “Seeing Spirits”.)
Paragraph 2:
God may or may not have flooded the “entire” earth for sin. In Biblical times, what was perceived as the “whole world” then may only have been a section of it. The Bible was written by scholars at that point, so what God told them, they most likely twisted to suit the social mores of the time. For instance, the Bible tells women to be submissive and to defer to the “wise” ways of man, and men are the ones who “own” property, which also include women. Since this is 2010, that is no longer true, or widely acceptable in today’s society. I do not need to enumerate the many ways women have gained an equal footing in the world, as everyone already knows these historical facts.
Also in the Bible, God promises never to flood the world again, and gives us a symbol of His promise: the rainbow. Since God stands by His promise, He would NEVER “flood” a city for so-called “wickedness”. Please do not misrepresent what God says and guarantees within the Holy Word. Haranguing us “sinners” gets you nowhere, as you should already know, “Reverend”. (Since you do not offer any proof of your title in your profile or website, I use it loosely.)
3rd paragraph:
A quick search on “1995 Midwest flood” yielded nothing; however, a 1993 Midwest flood did, as per the NOAA website. I assume you have your dates wrong. Also, according to the site I linked, it places blame on “hundreds of levees [that] failed along the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers.” Also, George H. W. Bush was president of the United States then. Since he IS a Republican, maybe you meant “God wanted [us] to repent, and [...] vote for a Democrat”? Or, since he was only in office for 20 days in January 1993, being succeeded by Bill Clinton, you truly did mean “vote for a Republican.” However, since we are all equal in the eyes of God, who are we to place our immature wants on God’s shoulders, and let Him bear the burden of which “side” (Republican or Democrat) should be elected next into office? The God I know has no care or concern for such superficial things as that, as we, in our imperfect humanity, do.
Since you call yourself a reverend, you should already know that NO ONE in a position of power is allowed to influence voters’ decisions. And if you already know this, you should know that to flaunt your preferences and pressure your “flock” into voting for one person every election season is an abuse of your power.
I found no evidence of God “plaguing” the Midwest with “disease, drought, and tough winters” in my search either.
4th paragraph:
See my 1st paragraph rebuttal for the mistaken TAPS acronym and explanation of TAPS’ mission. Furthermore, you cannot exchange “society” for “satan”, as the words mean two very different things. For the sake of brevity, I will not list the definitions of each. To exchange one word for another results in a nonsensical-sounding name. Perhaps this is your way of poking malicious fun of the TAPS team?
5th paragraph:
How do you “know” God is tired of this show? In all your rambling, none of it makes sense, and nor do you offer proof of this “knowledge” you have.
6th paragraph:
Rhode Island’s floodwaters are receding, so the residents will not be drowning any time soon. As another person has already pointed out, if the state’s citizens “[feel] their airways clog”, the only way they will be yelling “for help and mercy” is within their minds. You seem to be attributing many happenings of nature to God, and I suspect, believe the days of Revelation are upon us, as so many like you are wont to believe. But since approximately half of the prophecies listed in the Book of Revelation hasn’t happened yet, it will be at least a couple more centuries until the Day of Reckoning is upon us.
As an aside, please double-check the use of “druid” in this post of yours. Druids vanished from written record by the 2nd century CE as a result of oppression by the ancient Roman government, and the word is used to describe persons who lived in ancient Britain, Ireland, and Gaul, and may or may not have a bearing on the Neo-Druids of today. With that said, Neo-Druidism is based on “respect for all beings” and harmony. Many pagan beliefs have been woven into Christianity as we know it, if only you would research the many religious faiths that exist today.

This article is a disgrace to Christianity. Your ignorance is exceeded only by your twisted hatred. If you read your Bible, you will find something called the Ten Commandments, which specifically forbids bearing false witness. That is precisely what you are doing, slandering TAPS (who are very much AGAINST ouija boards and constantly advise people never to use them) and also slandering God, who does not flood people just because you disapprove of them.
In my experience, people who spread this kind of malicious slander are usually trying to conceal their own sins. The ranting is an expression of guilt and shame and an attempt to project their sinfulness on others. Generally, the underlying sin is sexual or financial. I strongly recommend that you seek counselling to deal with any feelings of guilt or inadequacy you have and stop trying to hurt other people. I think you are a little confused here. WE, as ‘ghost hunters’ are dealing with spirits that are earth bound. NOT the ones that have passed and gone on to be with God. I think maybe you are talking about psychic’s in this instance.

Most people don’t understand what’s going on. And people who have kids who are afraid of what’s going on don’t know who to turn to. Every case they do, they don’t charge a penny. Yeah they get paid for the TV show but they have been doing this for years before the TV show even existed. Yeah they try to provoke the spirits, but how else are they going to know they’re there? They don’t want to try and push something out if it’s not there. For anyone who watches the show you know that a good majority of the time, they don’t find much. But they offer to come back as soon as possible, especially if a child is involved. Hahahahaha I seriously can’t stop laughing.
Oh and about the whole “religion” aspect of this, this guy is a HORRIBLE example of christians. My opinion here probably doesn’t matter much because I don’t read the bible, but I’m pretty sure the bible does NOT promote this kind of behavior.

Ok – not dissing all christians or organized religions – aiming these to the extremists, but here is a question in regards to children.
The *BIGGEST* *MEANEST* bully in my daughters class is being raised in a a “good catholic home”. She is terrible…..vicious and vile (hey maybe she follows this site eh?). She makes people feel terrible about themselves, she taunts them, she lies and manipulates.
Now my daughter (and my son) are kind, loving, caring children who try very hard to be forgiving and kind. Yes my husband and I have raised them this way. It is unacceptable in our home for them to be bullies, swear, be physically violent. They are disiplined (yet not over the line) and by all accounts great kids. They excel in school both academically and socially, they are happy and fun and we are constantly being offered praise by schools, coaches, teachers and many other people.
So explain to me why – really *WHY* is the “GOOD CHRISTIAN GIRL” who goes to church regularly, made her first communion and is getting ready for her conformation next year….such a cold mean hearted vicious girl….and the children who do *NOT* go to church are such great kids?
No we don’t go to church – because we do not believe in organized religion (again no offense to all christians – just these crazies). But oddly I’ve been told by quite a few people that we are more spiritual than many of the church going people that they know. One woman in particular uses *US* as an example in her own home.
And guess what…..we believe in the paranormal. Yet I believe in the *CORE* of christianity….I think the 10 commandements should be “HUMAN LAW”. Just common sense.
AND it’s the over the top – crazy religious fanatics that have driven us away from the church & religion.

Never have I heard a supposed clergyman, With such a foul and hateful attitude as yours.
To think that people would be punished by voting either party in this country is insane! If you did your homework, You would know that it doesnt matter which party you vote for, They are all owned by the same international bankers anyway, And always continue the same work, that the last president was doing.

I believe that paranormal research falls under the heading of summoning, And communicating with spirits, And is strictly forbidden in the bible.
