Woody, in general, social security numbers have been assigned by area since they were first issued. Anyone from New England is going to have a “0″ as their first digit. NY will have a “1″, Texas has a “4″, etc. This is not to say that another method has been started more recently. My father’s # began with a “0″, 30 years later, my number begins with “0″, and 20 years after that, my 2 sons’ numbers begin with “0″, all of us born and registering for our SSN in Massachusetts.

There is a good reason for requiring presidents to be American-born. This should be extended to governors and senators too. Obama Bin Laden is going to un-Americanize so badly, he’ll make Arnold Schwarzenegger look like Spiro Agnew.
