It is important to remember that without Christ, we could not have Christmas.

Dear friends, my name is Joe P. Reagan and I want to first wish you all a very merry and blessed holiday season.

How said is it that liberals seek to take the Christ from Christmas? Without the name of our savior, we would just be left with ‘Mas’ and perhaps it is appropriate that “mas” is the Spanish word for “more”.

In this current American culture, it seems the holidays have become all about greed and nothing about substance. What matters most this time of year? Bickering over differences, the economy, politics?

No, this is a time for love and family. A time to put aside differences and to realize we are one in the same. Christmas is a holiday that is here due to Christians. It is a holiday to celebrate the birth of the Lord and Savior of the Christian faith.

And it is not just a holiday for Christians. The point of Christmas is not to have a platform to convert, but rather share joy, love and comfort through song, friendly hellos, and yes, sometimes gifts. The real reason for the season is to let others know, “I’ve thought of you and the thought is, I wish you well.”

It is as simple as that. The following video clip is truly special, as it shows how even in the most unsuspecting of places, the traditional holiday Christmas carol can be an inspiration to people from all walks of life. God’s love is supreme and when shared without hate or vindictive animosity, we see the joy it can bring to all people.
