BYU Snubs Patriotic Jesus Painter: Welcomes Charles Darwin Bicentennial, Satan and Homosexuality

Jon McNaughton’s painting “One Nation Under God” (pictured) is proof of the divine inspiration of God’s hand in the writing of the Constitution of the United States, but not all of those so called amendments.
Brigham Young University bookstore, the newly ordained bastion of liberal malaise and Satan’s salad bar for books on bestiality, evolution, communism, socialism, historical mis-interpretations and multiple partner sexual congress has bowed down to so called “negative feedback” by the liberal hate machine. The store will no longer offer McNaughton’s most famous painting in poster form for students to adorn their dormitory rooms.
“The primary focus of the bookstore is to sell religious art” said one bookstore representative.
McNaughton’s blog had strong words for the censorship and Satan’s newest playground.
I have a simple question for BYU…what in the heck is going on over there?! I am an artist who has sold his work at the BYU Bookstore for many years. But in light of recent events, I cannot in good conscious show my art there any longer.
Why is this painting, which is supported by church doctrine, (D&C 101:80) such a taboo image to display at BYU? Why censor a painting like this? Is it pornographic? Does it incite civil unrest? No. Go look around the bookstore, you’ll find far more provocative political books than my paintings. The problem in our country today is that many Americans won’t stand up for something if it makes them “uncomfortable.”
Why is this so called “Christian university” is hosting a CHARLES DARWIN BICENTENIAL celebration? The University has published an open invitation to the public.
For those of you who live close enough to BYU, come join us for Charles Darwin Bicentennial Week at BYU 1809-2009. It is the 200th anniversary of his birth and the 150 anniversary of the publication of The Origin of Species.
The University is also hosting a showing of the filth SICKO by well known communist and social justice imp, Michael Moore.
The hardest slap in the face comes from within the halls of learning from BYU Professor Bill Bradshaw who is acting like the homo gay pied piper, leading students across the Gay Gateway with his series of lectures, “The Evidence For A Biological Origin For Homosexuality”.
It is clear the University priorities are on other messages than the divine inspiration of Jesus in the Constitution. For McNaughton, and others it means they will no longer see BYU as Christian.

The reason that image was rejected is most likely because it appears to be a copyright infringement. (Correct me if I’m wrong…)

Wait. Did I miss something? I never knew other churches saw Mormons as Christian anyway. No loss there.

Telling people they can’t call themselves Christians. Is that what Jesus would do?

BYU has really gone downhill since Warren Jeffs became head of the Mormon Church.
I do like how they vote though. Always a red state.

Okay somebody has things screwed up. He is NOT the head of the ‘mormon church’. He is head of a ‘rebel’ if you will, group, a break off from the church because they wanted to believe their own interpretations and that polygamy is still okay-while the Lord says it is not. That is the former “reformed church of jesus christ of latter day saints” which I believe they now go by something like ‘church of christ?’ The actual “mormon church” of which we prefer to be called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints” (or LDS for short). The polygamists of today have nothing to do with the LDS church of today. The head of the Church is Jesus Christ, and Thomas S. Monson is the prophet and president who runs the church from inspiration of the Lord.

It’s both factual and obvious that the true Mormon faith was polygamist. They only “changed their interpretation of Gods will” to achieve statehood. Changing your faith to fit politics is the definition of “selling out” Warren Jeff’s has brought the Mormon back to Mormonism. I personally think it’s a vile faith. Anytime I see LDS polygamists in the news their wives are disgusting. Mormons obviously choose quantity over quality. I do like this artist though. He’s a personal hero of mine.

Jon McNaughton’s work, or art if you prefer, is stimulating in the vulgarity of the work’s contention. It is awkwardly didactic much like the artist himself.
The teaching, as expected from devotional pieces, is so wrong-headed in that it takes authority over the viewer with accompanying interactive pages on McNaughton’s web site or printable files that instruct in meaning. It is a level of pitch tar hubrus that covers his work.

Michael Moore’s Sicko? Why not show hard core man on horse porn instead? It would have the same moral affect on these innocent college kids. They really are just empty vessels waiting to be filled up with either truth or lies. And the liars seems to be doing all of the pouring, except here at Christwire.

The truth is, some people think their work or ideas are so important that any rejection is met with the kind of response seen here or on Jon McNaughton’s website.
Mr. McNaughton’s reaction to BYU removing his work is so small and conceited, I for one will be surprised if he sells another piece of “fine art”.
The paintings are paint by number junk. The “One Nation Under God” painting shows an immigrant “in shock” because in McNaughton’s words, “They aren’t all Christian.” Phooey tea bag sewage is what it is.
Sure, the picture used above isn’t his work. I think it is hysterical, because comments are made to “find” it. LOL

I purchased an original painting from this artist on the eBays second hand. It was a signed and numbered #1 original. It was about $4 but they charged ridiculous shipping and handling. It’s in the guest den. It’s pretty controversial. We’ve had some guests ask to have it taken down while they stay. I like it, some consider it racist and unpatriotic to depict Obama in such a light, but I see it as an expression of the artists upbringing and polygamist roots.

That is NOT McNaughton’s painting; McNaughton’s painting is terrible. It’s not remotely professional and shouldn’t be sold anywhere. He just paints every person he can think of and makes little explanations about each one.
