Oprah Dumps Obama, Backs Palin; Lesbians too.
During Barack Obama‘s first campaign to become the President of the United States of America, Oprah was very vocal about her support of him—citing the fact that she was very moved by him when she saw him speak at the 2004 Democratic National Convention—and gave him a ringing endorsement that helped him eventually get elected to office.
At the time, the move was bold, because while it helped Obama at the polls, it actually hurt Oprah. Her national favorability dropped from 74 percent down to 66 percent and her unfavorability ratings spiked up to 26 percent shortly after she held a political rally in support of Obama back in 2008. However, that was then—and this is now.
Recently, a source from Oprah’s camp announced that Oprah will not be doing that again. In fact, she reportedly won’t be endorsing Obama at all this time around. And the reason is pretty simple: She likes Sarah Palin

For a moment those who sat with me at the Pajamas TV booth last Thursday afternoon at the Republican convention must have thought I was crazy. Soon after reading an e-mail from a left-leaning lesbian friend with whom I almost always lock horns on matters politcal, I had to share the news–with anyone who would listen. This outspoken woman had informed me that for the first time in “30 years,” she’d be voting Republican in large measure because of her enthusiams for Sarah Palin.
She has a brother in Alaska where they’re impressed with their Republican Governor. “Love that woman,” my friend gushed.
My friend is not the only gay person enthusiastic about John McCain’s running mate.

Although I never watch Oprah, she seems a little too jive urban for my tastes, I’m glad to see these television liberals are coming to their senses.
The lesbian endorsement is troublesome. Gushing isn’t natural to them.

I find Palin to be remarkably hilarious. I would never consider voting for her; she’s incompetent and her views are, for the most part, completely opposite mine. I don’t condone killing animals for sport, nor do I think that the destruction of the environment, all for the sake of oil, is an acceptable idea.
