I recently stumbled upon your website and have some questions in regard to its content. When I did stumble upon the site, it was through a Digg link in regards to your article about the Janet Jackson “wardrobe malfunction” and the “Bin laden” culture. Once I found that, I looked through some of the other articles on the site as well.
The issue I have is not necessarily with the Gospel message that you are trying to spread, in fact, I commend you for that. However, after reading several articles it would appear that you are also driving traffic to your site by putting the very content that you are protesting against on it! As an example, the Janet Jackson article had a full screen grab of the naked nipple in question. Other articles showed pictures of girls in “Slave Girl” outfits with comments about what the people in the picture might or might not be thinking in terms of further sinful thoughts or activities.
The fact of the matter is, if you are trying to encourage sexual morality, there are better ways to go about doing it than highlighting the behaviors you want to change in graphic images. Quite honestly, if I was in my teenage years again, when I was steeped in my own struggle against pornography and masturbation, your site would have done nothing but fuel the fire because I would have completely ignored the words of the article and just stared at the pictures.
Also, while I appreciate the medical science behind “How to spot a Masturbator”, I don’t think that judging people’s closed-door activities based upon a look on their face or a way they have of spacing out is not what we are called to do. We are not called to judge people, as God is the only true judge. We can point out sinful behaviors, as we should, and help people to change those behaviors. However, we are not judge and jury and cannot spell out what salvation God may or may not have for an individual. Remember that the measure by which we judge is the same measure Christ will use to judge us.
Again, don’t take this as “hate mail” because this is not my goal. I truly do appreciate the work you are doing in fighting against the immorality of our culture. That being said, I would suggest possibly tweaking your approach, so as not to be scandalous in the images which you portray on your site, and in being overly judgmental towards individuals.
