Heritage Foundation® Prophesy Orb Lies to GOP Tea Party on Spending Cut Bill Success

May 16, 2011 Washington, DC – Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch O’Connell are suffering embarrassment and dismay over the spending cuts enacted with great aplomb in early April of 2011. Some are calling Jesus for intervention to up the date of The Rapture to end this nonsense. The Rapture is scheduled for final launch May 21, 2011 at an unspecified time.
Comparisons are being made of the promises, April’s Spending Bill and the reality of the legislation. At this point the effectiveness of this legislation is looking grim.

The Promise:
“[w]ith common-sense exceptions for seniors, veterans, and our troops, we will roll back government spending to pre-stimulus, pre-bailout levels, saving us at least $100 billion (USD) in the first year alone.”
The Spending Cut Bill:
The Spending Cuts Bill was touted as reducing spending by $38 billion (USD) within 6 months.
The Reality:
It turns out the six-month spending bill Congress passed in March increased discretionary outlays through the remainder of the fiscal year by a bit over $3 billion (USD) due to assumptions made about the speed of outlays for the military.
To be fair, the bill will reduce spending by $122 billion (USD), but over 10 years, not the prophesized 6 months.
With the Republican nominations beginning to heat up, the comparisons will no doubt create a feeding frenzy amongst the Presidential candidates. Much like a pack of dogs, sometimes the oldest and longest toothed are the most wiley.

With the devastating news today that Trump is out of the race (I blame Michelle Obama actually) our last chance to reduce the deficit down to 1920 levels is gone. These RHINOS’s in the congress are only going to try keep building roads and educating children at the expense of the generationally wealthy.
It’s time that we took our country back! Paris Hilton deserves all of the money that she has, and no liberal has a right to touch it.

“With the devastating news today that Trump is out of the race (I blame Michelle Obama actually) our last chance to reduce the deficit down to 1920 levels is gone.”
Firstly, sir, just how do you feel Michelle is responsible for Trump pulling out of the race? (Should be good. Wait for it.) The deficit will NEVER go back to 1920 levels. The dollar is worth way too much now for that to happen again. That’s just ridiculous “dreaming”.
“Paris Hilton deserves all of the money that she has, and no liberal has a right to touch it.”
Wait, didn’t I read an article on here about how Paris Hilton was a bad role-model for your children? Now you’re singing her praises? By the second half of that statement, I assume you feel that the rich should continue to get tax breaks on the millions and sometimes billions of dollars they rake in per year while the middle and lower classes continue to get taxed into bankruptcy. Classic. Then you have the nerve to blame the problems with the economy on the Democrats. I promise you that the Dems believe that EVERYONE across the board should pay the same percentage of their income in taxes. If the rich want to “lobby” for lower taxes for them, then it trickles down to the other classes. Same percentage across the board. Is it because she has to pay an Inheritance Tax, maybe? We all do. Even on the little $5000 life insurance policies. Paris Hilton has done absolutely nothing to “earn” all the money she has except be the spoiled child of a hotel mogul.

Blanche, it looks like our congressmen also need your article on how the economy works.
I’m sad to say I don’t think there are many true fiscal conservatives left in politics.
Nice, but depressing work.

I think it is important to remember that it isn’t their fault. It is the defective orb that led them astray from the Holy path of fiscal conservatism.
