Breast Reduction: Throwing Away God’s Gifts
This Sunday’s ladies Bible Study class was on “Appreciating the gifts that god has given you”. After church one of the younger women came up to me to ask a few questions. Jessica is a sweet girl in her early 20′s, and is a good righteous Christian, She is single at the moment and will one day make a Christian man a wonderful wife.
She explained to me that she was well aware that we should accept and be appreciative of the gifts that God has bestowed upon us, but was worried that one of her gifts had brought undue attention to her. It seems as if God has bestowed her with a very ample bosom. She went on to explain that since she had started to “develop” at the age of 12, boys have made cruel jokes and comments to her and about her, that some of the less godly had tried to touch her inappropriately in her teens and that as a young adult it seems that men only want to date her because of her chest. She has had trouble finding a man that doesn’t only want to fornicate with her, and is afraid that she is unknowingly leading them to commiting self fornication with their rigid sin sticks, at the thought and imagination of her bountiful Bosom. Then she dropped the bomb…she was concidering Breast Reduction and wondered if god would find it OK.

I knew that Jessica had been blessed but I was surprised to find that she could no longer by braziers in normal stores as her heaving breasts had become too gargantuan for a typical bra to hold them. I have to admit that I was rather shocked. As a woman of ample boobage myself…well, atleast in my youth…it’s funny what gravity does to the old girls with time, but I digress. I told her that I knew some of the pain that she had experienced. But I told her that I finally found the right man for me, a good man, a Christian man who kept his marauding hands to himself until our wedding night (and then every Monday, Thursday and occasional Saturday for over 50 years).
I further went on to tell her that almost all men who are not homosexual crave larger breasts, it is just the way. And as all christian men are NOT homosexual, she may find it hard to find a respectable man to marry her, if she did not have her God given “assets”. She told me that she had health related reasons for the surgery as well. She has had chronic back pain since she was 15 years old, which is very exasperated by her Double E cups. She tries to remain healthy by jogging, but finds it very painful for a variety of reasons, not to mention the dirty mexican construction workers who howl yippy yippy gibberish at her, as she passes by.
She seemed very disappointing by my answer, so I told her I would think about it, research it, study it, and Pray on it.

Mammoplasty:
That is the technical term for having your mammaries mutilated by a medical witch doctor. In 2005, over 113,000 women had breast reductions, an increase of 11 percent from the previous year. Doctors almost always perform breast reductions while the patient is under general anesthesia. Patients may take a few weeks for initial recovery, however it may take from six months to a year for the body to completely adjust to the new breast size. The surgery usually takes 3 to 5 hours!
Breast reduction surgery is oriented toward women with large, pendulous breasts, especially gigantomastia, since the weight of their breasts may cause chronic pain of the head, neck, back, and shoulders, plus circulation and breathing problems. The weight may also cause discomfort as a result of brassiere straps abrading or irritating the skin. For these reasons, the surgery is usually covered by insurance or by welfare provisions. Even if physical discomfort is not a problem, some women feel awkward with the enormity of their breasts in proportion to the rest of their smaller bodies. Except in unusual cases, this procedure is performed on individuals with fully-developed breasts, and it is not typically recommended for women who desire to breastfeed.
Now I am shocked to find out that:
1) My insurance premiums are going to help women mutilate theirselves.
2) I am also shocked to find out that my tax money is going to fund this through WELFARE! I am all for feeding the poor, but I am not funding this Mr. Obama!
The next section is going to include disturbing “scientific language” I apoligize but if you are easily offended you may want to skip the next paragraph.
The traditional popular technique in North America bases the blood supply to the nipple and areola complex (NAC) from a central and inferiorly based attachment to the chest wall (an “inferior pedicle” or “central mound” technique), with variations of orientations of such pedicles described. Better understanding of anatomy in terms of innervation to the NAC has made it more likely to leave both nipple sensitivity and capability to lactate for the patient as compared to other techniques of the past.

Warnings:
As with any surgery there are many dangers. Possible issues include difficulty breast feeding, scarring, asymmetry, delayed wound healing, altered nipple sensation, fluid retention in the breast, altered erogenous function, and drooping.It may impair the likelihood of breastfeeding success due to the surgical disruption to the lactiferous duct system.However, a number of studies have demonstrated a similar ability to breast feed when breast reduction patients are compared to control groups. Scarring from this procedure may be extensive and permanent. Initially, the scars are lumpy and red, but they gradually subside into their final smaller sizes as thin lines, slightly discolored. Though permanent, the surgeon can make the scars inconspicuous to the point that even low-cut tops may be worn without visible scars.The patient does need to minimize post op activity, any heavy lifting, or over head lifting for a minimum of two weeks to minimize any complications such as post-operative bleeding.

* Damage to deeper structures – such as nerves, blood vessels, muscles, and lungs – can occur and may be temporary or permanent
* Breast asymmetry
* Fluid accumulation
* Excessive firmness of the breast
* Potential inability to breastfeed
* Potential loss of skin/tissue of breast where incisions meet each other
* Potential, partial or total loss of nipple and areola
* Deep vein thrombosis, cardiac and pulmonary complications
* Pain, which may persist
* Allergies to tape, suture materials and glues, blood products, topical preparations or injectable agents
* Fatty tissue deep in the skin could die (fat necrosis)
* Possibility of revisional surgery
* Breast reduction surgery can interfere with certain diagnostic procedures
* Breast and nipple piercing can cause an infection
* Your ability to breastfeed following reduction mammaplasty may be limited; talk to your doctor if you are planning to nurse a baby
* The breast reduction procedure can be performed at any age, but is best done when your breasts are fully developed
* Changes in the breasts during pregnancy can alter the outcomes of previous breast reduction surgery, as can significant weight fluctuations

So there you have it. God Made you, perfect, in his image. Although I doubt God has big boobs, he wants you to. I am sure he would be very upset with you ruining his creation. Now will you get kicked out of heaven? Asking for forgiveness for your sins will always warrant forgiveness from the heavenly father. But to get that forgiveness you have to be truly sorry for what you have done.
What about Man?
Many men list breasts as the first thing that attracts them to a woman. Sure many men tell women it’s their eyes…but they are liars. Horny desperate liars; willing to say anything to get into a woman’s sin treats. Behind closed doors men admit they like breasts, the bigger the better. Most men in fact judge a woman by her breasts. Studies show that most gay men are even attracted to breasts! As disgusting as porno smut is, there are billions upon billions of adult web pages dedicated to large breasts and only four for small breasts. Two of those encourage sinful rear entry, and one is dedicated to small MALE breasts!
Conclusion
I think it is pretty obvious. The only reasons to have a breast reduction is because your selfish and vain, and enjoy giving your money to doctors. Sure Dr. Adams needs to make the payment on his new Audi, but let him earn that money from treating gunshots in the inner city. Reasons against having a breast reduction? Possible damnation, disappointment of future husband, a multitude of health issues, possible botched surgery, death.
I am sorry Jessica, but maybe you should leave God’s creation alone on this one.

Jessica’s life is in danger. If her breasts are really that big, she could suffer severe spine injuries, and might even get to the point of not walking anymore. Also, such big breasts can bring her serious cardiorespiratory issues. I think that health and happiness come before beauty and religious prospects.
Would you deny a person who was born with an extra pair of useless legs or arms the right of having them surgically removed just because ‘God wanted him to be like that’? I would like to see what you would do in a similar situation.

Severe spine injuries can cripple a person or severely limit their ability to move or even have feeling in their limbs.
And if they are heavy enough they can cause a lung to collapse and if both collapse and with the size of the breasts that can cause a person to suffocate do to inability to quickly inflate the lung.

You really are an idiot. Breasts do not kill people…are you really that stupid. When i was in high school a friend of mine had gigantomastia (which is a diease that causes insanely large breasts like the woman above) and had to have a breast reduction in order to live. She was bound to a wheelchair couldn’t walk or leave the house for her entire 16th year of life due to her breasts being so big. By the time she reached 17 she finally decided to have a emergency reduction and the doctors removed over 64lbs of breast tissue. Thats a constant 64lb weight on her chest crushing her lungs and ribs and you say they dont kill people. This wasn’t a few decades of discomfort this was a severe and crippling disease. Before she would lay in bed all day lifeless watching tv now shes active in her community and church which would u say helps god more.

In hell? Sin is sin. The wages of all sin is death – eternal seperation from God. One tiny little white lie equals hell. So according to you, breast reduction also equals hell. But Christ died for all sin. Once sealed with the holy spirit ALL sin is paid for. Don’t tell me you haven’t sinned today. Our bodies are far from perfect. God never intended us to experience sickness, cancer, getting old or physical death, and even diseases caused by dangerously large breasts, but we do. We chose these by choosing to disobey God. But God also provides us with ways to deal, even if that means a doctor visit.
If you get a cavity, do you not have the infected part removed and then filled? If you get a baterial infection, do you not take a man-made substance of an antibiotic to heal your body? If a tumor, even an exterior skin tumor, developes, do you not have it treated and removed? If God made you prone to cavities and bacterial infections, and treatable tumors should you leave it alone?
After a heart attact, if surgery is required, shouldn’t you allow the surgery – God didn’t not allow you to die durring that heart attact, so isn’t refusing the surgery only to die a few days later is dishonoring to God?
(Have you heard the story of the man in the flood? It goes like this:
A man was standing on his roof to avoid the rising waters. He had already turned down an offer to get a ride to safty at the start of the flood but had answered with “Thanks, but God will save me”. Now, on top of his house, a boat comes by with an offer to be bring the man to safty. The man, once again, turns down the offer by saying “Thanks, but God will save me.” As the waters cover the roof of the house, a helocopter comes by with the offer of a ride to safty. For a third time, the man answers with “Thanks, but God will save me.” The man dies. Once before God, he asks “Father, why didn’t you save me?” God answers with “I sent you a car, a boat and a helocopter, I provided you with the means to keep your body safe and to continue my work on earth, but it was you who turned it down.”) **Heart surgery also has risks and causes scarring, so surely, accepting heart surgery is a sin.**
I ask again: If God made you prone to cavities and bacterial infections, and treatable tumors and heart problems, should you leave it alone?
No. Because even though God did not make us for illness, we live in a broken world where illness does happen. But he did proviod us with means of reversing the discomfort to take care of our bodies (as pointed out in the verses you mentioned of honorring and taking care of our bodies).
If an abmornal breast size is causeing life threatening issues to your body (and please, do your research before saying that large breasts do not effect the physical health of the women affected. Paralisis – even to the point of ceribal pressure causing brain damage; loss of hip and knee cartilage; circulatory problems; and dangerous amounts of pressure on the lungs causing server breathing problems and risk of collasped lungs can all be caused by large breasts. I suggest you research, your comment of “no one suffocates from their boobs! don’t be silly!” was made out of your own personal ignorance by your lack of research.)Again, if breast size is causing issues to your body that can be reversed, then it should be reversed (if it is truly life threatening and if praying about it truly leads you to believe God wants you to fix it in this way).
Mainly, it is not on you to condemn as you just did. It is not for you to say whether or not breast reduction is a sin. God does not clearing state breast reduction as a sin so this whole matter weighs heavily on where your convictions lay. Convictions are never to be forced upon others.

From a site that claims to promote Christian values, I would have expected a bit more effort to help a fellow Christian in a serious need.
Even if that girl was gifted with an ample mammary, a quick look at the picture reveals alarming concentrations of adipose tissue.
I’m confident that God wouldn’t have paired the gift on the chest with the one of an appropriate bone structure to hold it, since He isn’t prone to mistakes as we, mortals, are.
But the added weight of an indulgent lifestyle, combined with the health issues of excessive subcutaneous tissue accumulation, are indeed a serious concern, and put her at a risk of permanent serious lessions that could easily be prevented.
All this girl needs is a healthy diet and some regular excercise. Even just 30min/day of walking and removing obvious indulgences from diet (untimely oily/fried snacks and excessive deserts most prominently) would already yield huge benefits within the same time it takes to wait for an appointment for any kind of surgery.

Even if it may sound harsh, this girl is just not taking enough care of her body, and is experiencing the ensuing health issues.
