As a North Idaho resident, it pains me when tribal violence happens anywhere, especially close to home. Last week 28-year-old Daren C. Abbey offered directional advice to Marlon L. Baker, an African-American and rumored “champion” of the Spokane Boxing Club.
Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office reports show that Abbey talked to Baker at the bar and “offered him some advice” because “he is a nice guy”. When Baker left the bar, Abbey followed him out while allegedly offering life coaching advice, as one might expect a nice young man to do. Abbey then tried to assist Baker, who “punched Abbey in the face once, knocking him down” and possibly breaking Abbey’s white nose. When Abbey came to, he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery and felony malicious harassment.
A liberal spin
Unfortunately, Gawker reporter Lori Apple, whose real Hebrew name is Johanna Lapplekowski, wrote an article twisting this into lies calling Daren C. Abbey a skinhead and Neo-Nazi. This irresponsible journalism is just another in the long line of hate that the liberal media feeds us.
