Those who wish to blame natural disasters on the legalizing of same sex marriage in New York are ignorant of both reality and the scriptures. Both Natural and unnatural disasters happen from time to time, blaming them on any group of people for “sin” shows pride on the party placing the blame, one of the sins God speaks out against the most in the entire old testament. If you really believe in Christ, and you know He fulfilled the Old Testament, see Jesus Christ says about this kind of issue:
Luke 13:1-5 ” Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”
If you’re going to blame a hurricane on the gays, then according to scripture you have to blame yourself just as much, you are no better then anyone else, and whether you’re gay or straight, your salvation or condemnation is found in the saving grace of Jesus Christ, or lack thereof, not natural disasters.
I’m reminded of the old saying “When you point a figure, there are four more fingers pointing back at you.”
