Furious Russia States Gaddafi’s Death Breached Geneva Convention, Threatens to Invade Libya
The Soviet Union is rising again. With Vladmir Putin ready to reassume the presidency of the nation with strong communist roots, Russia is posturing and threatening Libya’s future government on issues of oil.
Russian authorities have stated that NATO’s operation in Libya lead to the death of Moammar Gadaffi, further giving proof of why all NATO countries cannot be trusted to help mold the future of Libya. Russia has threatened the Libya owes billions in contracted oil and that if necessary, the Russian military has rights to occupy Libya to secure resources that are owed to them.
These statements of Russia are fueling the notion that Vladmir Putin is posturing for a second Cold War to drive Russia’s economy to one of military and technology, once again trying to recreate the power and terror of 1960s era Russia. What better time to attack America’s ability to wage a Cold War than when the nation is going through a tragic economic recession.
The International community has expressed concern over Russia aggression toward Libya’s new government and the unprecedented support of Moammar Gaddafi, a genocidal dictator.
