The Power Of God

The quote I’m about to show you, is one we are all probably familiar with. You can find it on shirts, mugs, bookmarks, etc. It’s one of my favorite quotes.
Psalm 23:1-3
1 The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

He makes you lie down in green pastures. When you think of green pastures, an image that might come up is a beautiful and relaxing place. He has the ability to lift your burdens. He leads you beside still waters. All you have to do is stop and just listen to God. He restores your soul. He forgives you of your sins. He lead you in the paths of righteousness. He shows you the correct path.

Sometimes in life we need to just stop and listen to God. I realize that we all have busy lives, but we should always make time to worship our God. Another word we have all heard: worship.
Worship-reverent honor and homage paid to God or a sacred personage, or to any object regarded as sacred.

A simpler definition of the word is devoting your life to God; giving up every part of yourself to him.
Worshiping may make you feel uncomfortable, but do you think Jesus was comfortable on the cross? He died for everyone’s sins. A lot of people don’t see this as a big deal because death is all around us, but he was a SAVIOUR FROM HEAVEN.

God’s word is the most powerful thing. He has the power to bring you to your knees. I’ve seen people cry during church, because his words have that much power. Church is a place of miracles.

      I agree, Auggie. This is a great post. But, you make a great point about her username. It’s a shame it’s tainted by misplaced emosexual fandom.

      But, here’s something else I’m wondering – why can’t she help us spread our important message across the rest of the site?

      While were hard at work in other comment sections attempting to spread the good news, she’s at best a thorn in our side.

      Honk, honk!

    • Well this time it took three posts for the emosexual troll army under the marching orders of the homogay agenda to release their spam on what started out as a powerful thread.

      Disgusting.

  • What about
    1 Corinthians 11: 5-6
    “But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
    For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.”

    or

    Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

    1 Peter 3:1-3
    Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
    While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
    Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

    Poor Susan always fun how Christians NEVER ever read there own book.
