Tapei, Taiwan – Showing the the arrogance of celebrities may be universal, a Taiwanese singer named Makiyo is allegedly in hot water after a video surfaced showing her and whose said to be Takatero Tomoyori assaulting a taxi cab driver.

From what our translator could tell us, Makiyo and her friends laid a beating upon a 55-year-old cab driver.  Random videos on YouTube purport to capture the assault on tape and documents show that the singer can face up to 12 years in prison if she is found guilty.  If this is anything like a Lohan case, that means she can be free to sniff crack rock and party it up at Carnival after stint at the Funny Bunny ranch.

Various sources state the Makiyo incident took place in early February but is only beginning to receive global attention now.   The people of Taiwan are said to be largely blaming the media for the attack, for buying into the Jeresy Shore and MTV reality show version of reality where youngsters are encouraged to revel in celebrity, stupidity and hedonism.
