<chris†wire> The New Black Panther Party (NBP) brings nothing new to the Trayvon Martin case. They represent hate, anger and injustice. They have quickly taken on the values, beliefs and ideals of the predecessor’s, not the Black Panthers of the 60s, I mean their racist predecessor’s in the Ku Klux Klan. And if these racist have their way America will certainly endure its first lynching in quite sometime.
The NBP used the Trayvon case to grab media attention for their terrorist cause. They have placed a $10,000 bounty payable to anyone who will deliver George Zimmerman to them so that they and they alone will be the one’s to determine Zimmerman’s fate.
Let’s be clear, the bounty placed on the head of George Zimmerman has been offered to perpetrate a modern-day lynching. It is motivated by racism and intended to deny Zimmerman due process of law. The video you watched makes that clear. If the government doesn’t do what the black community wants the NBP will use violence in order to achieve vengeance.
Such vengeance shows the NBP’s disdain towards the American Judicial system. The real question is why hasn’t the FBI arrested Mikhail Muhammad and rounded up the rest of the panthers for conspiracy? The video evidence produced by the NBP leaves no doubt as to the fact that these men engaged in a conspiracy to violate the civil rights of George Zimmerman when they placed a bounty on his head.
They are attempting to circumvent our legal system for the purpose of vengeance. The NBP wants vengeance from a man who has been cleared by city, state and federal authorities of any criminal wrong doing. Have we not learned anything from our violent racist past and the injustices that occurred to recognize that lynching folks is not the answer.
I disagree with what Zimmerman did by ignoring the 9-1-1 operator who told him not to follow Trayvon, but he did anyways and that is not a crime. He was inside a private gated community and is not obliged to comply with the instructions given to him by the 9-1-1 dispatcher.
No matter the suffering of the black community over their perception that Zimmerman is a murderer they cannot overcome the facts in this case. Zimmerman had lost sight of Trayvon so it’s not like he was following him just a few feet away. Once Zimmerman realized he’d lost Trayvon he turned around and walked back towards his car. It was then that Trayvon became the aggressor.
Trayvon reappeared behind Zimmerman who was then some distance away and walking for his vehicle having given up his observation of the young man. Trayvon then runs up behind Zimmerman who is unaware of his presence, closing the gap between the two men. When Trayvon speaks asking if Zimmerman has a problem, he lands a punch to Zimmerman’s face knocking him to the ground.
Zimmerman is a young man himself, but he is obese and slow. He was no match for a 6’ 3” 17 year old high school kid. Once Zimmerman was lying on his back Trayvon should’ve walked away. Instead he attacks, pinning Zimmerman to the ground and repeatedly slams Zimmerman’s head into the pavement. Zimmerman was violently attacked, but only after he’d retreated and was now moving in the opposite direction away from where he’d last seen Trayvon.
Zimmerman had every reason to fear for his life and acted lawfully and reasonably to prevent serious injury or death to himself. Trayvon had it coming and the black community will just have to accept this and move on. As far as the NBP goes they are the latest domestic terrorist organization to crop up in the US and they are felons who our government must deal with now.
And if the government fails to act against the NBP then when White folks run them out of town as you will see in the next video they’re well within their rights to do so. But how does this help bring racism to an end?
Honestly it was easy to fix blame for this tragedy on Zimmerman at first. It was much easier for all Americans to feel the loss and the rage of the black community when we were first told that a 17 year-old high school student had been gunned down in cold blood by an armed racist. And it was this belief that made Zimmerman the most reviled man in America.
But with all the facts known now, it becomes clear that while Zimmerman may have acted unwisely, he had withdrawn from following Trayvon. It was Trayvon who then made the fatal decision to settle the score with Zimmerman. Trayvon’s decision to run down Zimmerman and engage him in a physical confrontation is what led to his death.
Racism is racism regardless of what color a person is. Racists can be White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, or any other color or nationality. Racism is an ugly, unnatural state that long ago should’ve been treated as a mental illness. But worst is that racism denies God sovereignty over all living things including man.
