Disney characters and female princesses come to life in paintings by Jirka Vaatainen. By using composite photos and digital scales, Vaatainen created some rich, realistic designs of Disney’s leading ladies. On this list, my favorite characters are Pocahontas and Ursula. Ursula really does look like the woman from Operation Repo on television. It’s no joke!
Alice in Wonderland
Real life version of Alice in Wonderland, wearing a fashionable Kansas skirt and wife’s kitchen smock.
The Little Mermaid
The Little Mermaid looks a bit more fishy as she flops ashore.
Belle from Beauty and the Beast
Given the choice between a gruff Beast and a strong-chinned Frenchman of who no one could throw cheap shots in a fight like him, Belle really never had a ‘nice guy’ option.
This is pre fashion upgrade Cinderella.
Esmerelda from Hunchback of Notre Dame
Esmerelda gives some shoulder action in her blouse.
Princess Jasmine from Aladdin
The genie actually tried the ol’ reverse genie lamp trick on her when he saw this.
Pocahantas is doing the Emma Watson poopsie squat pose in her native fabric fashion dress.
She has the perfect hair for any DIY hairstyle class.
She likes to kiss frogs and turn them into gold wielding princes.
She looks like the big Hispanic lady from Operation Repo.
