Fans Cheer Incest and Baby Murder on “Game of Thrones,” While Rumors of Upcoming Peter Dinklage Nude Scenes Go Viral
Never before on primetime television has such depravity been offered up to America’s young people. This calculated immorality catapults far beyond bad taste, and into the realms of genuine social and moral destruction. Yes, we are talking about Game of Thrones, the cable sci-fi series that last season sold teens and twentysomethings on the ideas of pedophilia, socialism, occultism, sodomy, homosexuality, alcoholism and much worse.
A broad coalition of conservative voices including the Parents Television Council, the Wall Street Journal and Concerned Women for America have condemned HBO for promoting the show to children. Others have turned their outrage to sleazy pornographer George R. R. Martin for conceiving such filth in the first place.
Yet just when critics thought Thrones couldn’t get any lower, author Martin shocks us all by making incest and baby murder the central themes of this second season. Producers David Benioff and D. B. Weiss are clearly worried that the hugely popular media franchise The Hunger Games is steadily chipping away at their fanbase through sharp writing and a stronger lineup of recognizable actors (including Woody Harrelson, Jennifer Lawrence, Donald Sutherland and Stanley Tucci).
This Hollywood catfight is vulgar distraction, but it pales in comparison to the lengths that George Martin will go to attract fresh, juvenile fans. Here are just a few of the indefensible controversies that have been hastily thrown together to make this season of Game of Thrones one of the most repugnant television events ever:
1. The Brothel Scandal: When you have a scene that starts off with widespread anal intercourse and ends with infants being butchered left and right, it’s not hard to see the underlying message here. With the unmitigated debauchery of Episode 1, Thrones is attempting to connect two popular causes of the liberal left– sodomy and abortion. By representing a dangerous sex act in this way, they’re pushing the idea that anal penetration is acceptable for young people because it does not result in pregnancy (without bothering to warn kids about homosexuality and disease).
2. Ethnic Problems: In Salon, Journalist Saladin Ahmed condemned Game of Thrones for making blacks look “cartoonish” and “savage” while others view the series as an outrageous display of radical feminism that is out of synch with heartland America.
3. The Poster: The promotional announcement created for this season features a profoundly graphic image of the guillotined head of actor Ned Stark. Oddly enough, Stark was cut from the show last year due to unknown personal problems. Was this done as an intentional insult? While the answer is not known, many were indeed insulted to see such a bloody image postered on walls in towns and cities across the nation.
4. Emilia Clarke as Moses: Ms. Clarke returns this season as a quasi-spiritual figure leading her lost people through the desert. The allusion to Moses of the Bible is painfully obvious, yet instead of being led by the Word of God, she is encouraged by a demonic dragon. The symbolism suggests that America’s men, particularly our teen boys, would prefer to follow some earthy, bare-chested girl and her “new age” spirits into the treacherous landscape of our contemporary culture, rather than to be led out of it by the wisdom of the Old Testament.
5. “Emo” Hero Kit Harrington: Harrington, who plays a swarthy, longhaired swordfighter ever intimate with a gang of muscled young men, has developed a large fanbase of boys and girls alike. Something about his delicate gestures, flirtatious insouciance and exotic musk seem to encourage an outbreak of erotic daydreaming amongst viewers (which is not surprising considering his gay porn past).
6. The Buttocks of Theon: Actor Alfie Allen did not hesitate to show off his bare behind last season and once again we see it all in amazing detail in Episode 2. On a boat rocking in the rough seas, Alfie angrily sodomizes a young girl and then penetrates her from the front with shocking mastery. The filmmakers seem fascinated with his firm anus, which glistens in the shards of sunlight that creep through the ship’s old planks, as he heaves in and out, again and again, into the cooing, flatchested girl.
7. Alfie’s Incest Binge: Theon will be the great icon of incest this season, as is foretold in the grotesque moment when he caresses the large breasts of his very own sister and later tries to rape her on a horse. One wonders how much more incest they could possibly cram into GoT…
8. Sex as a Gateway to Satanism: In Episode 2, a king who we may not have seen before is invited to have sex with a red-haired witch on a war map. They scream, “Let the light of the Dark Lord in!” as they reach climax, a clear invocation of promiscuous sex as a gateway to demonic spirits, and possibly even Satanism.
9. Thrones as a Liberal Critique of U.S. Foreign Policy: In the journal Foreign Affairs, the larger ramifications behind this television series are questioned. Is GoT meant as a criticism of America’s military might in an age of international terrorist threats and Islam? If so, they insult our troops by making them look, “poor, nasty, brutish and short.”
10. “Season of the Dwarf”? More Like, “Dinklage is Coming”
Special mention needs to be made here of Peter Dinklage who plays Tyrone Lannister, a crucial member of the family that advises the King of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. Recently, Mr. Dinklage gave a bizarre, rambling interview with the liberal New York Times Magazine. (Possibly this was to make up for a scathing review from last year by Gina Bellafonte which nearly derailed the show.) Peter comes across a bossy and slick, rude and unapologetically English. It’s a bit suprising to read about how the newly-minted celebrity diva orders old acquaintances to include him in their film and theater productions. Now, the insatiably pretentious thespian is fighting back rumors that he regularly haunts Manhattan’s raunchy nightclub scene, traveling with a posse of drugged-up supermodels, abusive homosexuals and uptown billionaires.
The danger of Dinklage is that so many young people see him as a role model. He is a hero for the lost, lonely and cast out. As his scenes on Game of Thrones become ever longer and more intense, he is presented as a witty and admirable figure. Yet he also represents the sloth so common in our youth culture. His fancy costumes and unkempt hair would not be unfamiliar in the hipster enclaves of New York City in Brooklyn, where Peter spent much of his early career. His on screen alcoholism comes across as freakishly genuine. Indeed, his crass language and scheming ways send the completely wrong message about getting ahead in America’s competitive workplaces. We need people of education and integrity, honesty and moral fiber. Tyrone Lannister is none of these.
What many will find even more upsetting is the significance of sodomy to the Peter Dinklage aesthetic. It seems to be its very own subplot on the show. Lannister is made out to be the emblem of anal intercourse, the virile man who goes in deep and comes out a sweaty, grinning hero. Each anal sex scene is a triumph for Dinklage, though it’s not clear to audiences why. Promoting an act that the Bible calls an abomination is no haphazard matter. Obviously, the director of this show has a very specific endgame in mind here.
Further unnerving parents and media critics are the rumors of upcoming nude scenes with Dinklage. We have already seen him violate any number of young, large-breasted women but this time there may be much more, possibly even Emilia Clarke. Leaks from within the studio have suggested that Dinklage will get his very own frontal and backside unclothed scenes. George Martin, the creator of the show, seems to believe that this will be a television first. He imagines it to be some sort of groundbreaking event that will forever challenge our social norms and our appreciation of human diversity. Whether this will be a homosexual scene is not known, but considering the buildup around Kit Harrington’s character, it’s quite possible.
Whatever the case may be, America’s Christians have long stood for the idea that there are certain taboos that should not be broken. For instance, bestiality has always been considered far outside the social norm. It’s inexplicable and offensive and would wound our innocent children to witness such an act. You could possibly earn millions by making bestiality a central theme in a cable television series. It would certainly shake social norms and get people to think in a different manner. Does this mean we should make programs about bestiality? Of course not! It’s still abhorrent and incredibly wrong on a social, ethical and spiritual level. We cannot go about crashing barriers simply because they’re there.
It has been suggested that this is the “Season of the Dwarf” on Game of Thrones because of Tyrone Lanniester’s pivotal significance. For the sake of what’s left of Peter’s reputation and for the safety of our young people, let’s not make this year a spectacle of “Dinklage is Coming” on the show. Winter is already hard enough.

I have seen the second episode (Satan made me do it) and I would go so far as to say that every scene, every storyline, every line of dialogue is suffused with some glorification for anal sex. If you sample an episode of Game of Thrones, you’ll see all the women are basically selfish harlots and I bet if contraception was available in pill form then, they would demand a tax be levied for it.
Look, women in general are just in a bad place right now. It’s a complex issue to boil down, so can’t we just agree to disagree and on this one and just focus on the fact that Game of Thrones is a dangerous show and should not be watched by children?

Why should someone’s gender dictate their life choices? Here’s a radical idea, why don’t we treat people as INDIVIDUALS rather than their gender/race/age? Why do you have a problem with contraception? Women taking the pill doesn’t affect you in any way at all. Get out of other people’s business.
Also you criticise ‘harlots’, just a quick question, what is actually wrong with a woman being promiscuous or even monogamous but enjoying sex? Again it doesn’t affect anyone but the people involved, so stop interfering.

Its not very nice for you to slam single mothers. I know several single mothers who are very good people. Sometimes women have abusive husbands, or their husbands go to jail, or they’re raped and they dont want to get an abortion, or theyre a woman who cant find a husband and adopts or has foster kids. I think that a woman who is trying to raise a child should not be demonized, especially when you don’t know the circumstances. Its real easy to bash people who don’t fit exactly into your morality, but its not very Christian. If you actually read the Bible you will find that Jesus forgave the prostitute, as well as all the other sinners.
