A Texas jury found that the tax advisory firm Taxmasters Inc and its lumberjack bearded founder used deceptive practices to entice and lure customers. Apparently, in television ads the company failed to accurately portray its ability to provide the services it promised. This resulted in a whipping $200 million in civil penalties.
