Before I begin, I want to say SCREW YOU to any of you bigoted Republicans/Christians/Old-fashioned Coots and heretical Nazis.  The Black Veil Brides represent all that you do not like, because you cannot stand CHANGE, PROGRESS and LOVE.

An ancient philosopher once said, music is the balm for a wounded soul.  If that’s true, the Black Veil Brides must all of medical doctors for the soul.  Here are some great songs and lyrics that if you are smart and a real person, you’ll know just what they mean.

    PERFECT WEAPON

    Go!
    Awake at night you focus,
    On everyone whose hurt you,
And write a list of targets,
    Your violent lack of virtue.
    Leave us alone!
    You’re on your own!

    Go!
    We are breathing,
    While you’re sleeping, go, (go!)
    And leave us alone,
    The liars cheating,
    Our hearts beating, go, (go!)
And now you’re on your own.
    Here’s to your perfect weapon,
    Crack bones with blind aggression,
Like birds whose wings are broken,
    You live without direction.
    Leave us alone!
    You’re on your own!
    We are breathing,
    While your sleeping, go, (go!)
    And leave us alone,
    The liars cheating,
    Our heart’s beating, go, (go!)
And now you’re on your own.

    Go!
    Go!
    Go!
    Go!
And now you’re on your own!
    Go!
    Go!

    And leave us alone!
    We are breathing,
    While your sleeping, go, (go!)
    And leave us alone,
    The liars cheating,
    Our heart’s beating, go, (go!)
And now you’re on your own.

My friend Gina weighs in on the meaning of this song:

i think this is like knives and pens talking about how people make fun of kids for being goth, emo, or different. and how like the kids who get made fun of hate the bullies cause it says “On everyone whose hurt you, And write a list of targets,” and i think it just wants them to stop cause it says that in plain english haha. i love andy sixx. he understands, and he’s a cutie :D

    Knives and Pens

Alone at last, we can sit and fight
And I’ve lost all faith in this blurring light
But stay right here we can change our plight
We’re storming through this despite what’s right

One final fight, for this tonight
Whoa, with knives and pens we made our plight
Lay your heart down the ends in sight
Conscience begs for you to do what’s right
Everyday it’s still the same dull knife
Stab it through and justify your pride

One final fight, for this tonight
Whoa, with knives and pens we made our plight
Whoa and I can’t go on without your love
You lost, you never held on
    We tried our best
    Turn out the light
    Turn out the light

One final fight, for this tonight
Whoa, with knives and pens we made our plight
Whoa and I can’t go on without your love
You lost, you never held on
    We tried our best
    Turn out the light
    Turn out the light

And my friend Amelia weighs in on this:

This song is about people being judged, and even though they are misunterstood, they’ll stick together to stand up for what they believe in. The video was basically Andy Sixx (singer) Explaining how he can relate to his fans and he knows what they are going through just because of apearence. His main message was “Never Give In.”

And for everyone who likes to call Andy an emosexual, here’s a love song done right. It’s not any of that fake Justin Bieber nonsense, this is Smokey Robinson level material. His girlfriend is a mortician’s daughter.

    The Mortician’s Daughter

    I open my lungs dear
I sing this song at funerals…no rush.
These lyrics heard a thousand times, just plush.
A baby boy you’ve held so tightly, this pain it visits almost nightly
Missing hotel beds I feel your touch.

I will wait dear, a patient of eternity, my crush
    A universal still.
    No rust.
No dust will ever grow in this frame,
one million years I will say your name.
I love you more than I can ever scream.

We booked our flight those years ago,
I said I love you as I left you.
Regrets still haunt my hollow head, but I promised you I will see you again, again.

I sit here and smile dear
I smile because I think of you and blush.
    These bleeding hollow dials…this fuss.
A fuss is made of miles and travels when roadways are but stones and gravel.
A bleeding heart and conquer every crutch.

We booked our flight those years ago
you said you loved me as you left me. Regrets still haunt your saddened head but I promised you I will see you,
We booked our flight those years ago
I said I loved you and I left you
Regrets no longer in my head,
I promised you and now I’m home again, again, again, again, again.

    I’m home again.
