I’ve been wondering this for a while.
Even though I’m atheist, I’ve always wondered why religions fight. Why cant you guys just agree that you all believe in the same God? It just makes sense. Christians have God, Muslims have Allah, pagans have their gods. The only real difference I see is how you worship it. Can’t you all just get along and not fight?

Because they think that they’re right and that all others are wrong, and because the ego of mankind is never satisfied, they end up killing other people over it because that’s how they were brought up.

Buddhists have shown themselves to be plenty capable of atrocities and intolerance. Look at the atrocities that the Buddhist majority and government inflicted on the Tamil minority and Sri Lanka. And the constant attacks by Sri Lankan Buddhists on Sri Lankan churches.
Buddhists have also done a lot of extremely nasty stuff in places like Burma, Thailand, Cambodia and Japan.
Also, not all Buddhists are atheists. There are plenty of Buddhist gods, though not of the same kind as the god of the Jews/Christians/Muslims.

Yes I did a report over Sri Lanka not too long ago and I read about all of this. I’m not saying that Buddhist have never done anything, every religion is responsible for some damage. I meant that they seem more peaceful than other religions.

I’ve got nothing against Buddhists. I find most of them very pleasant, much like I find most Muslims and Jews and Christians very pleasant.
But we would probably both feel differently if we found ourselves in a church that a Buddhist mob led by Buddhist monks were burning.

Actually, it makes perfect sense. He doesn’t give a shit about actually following the religion, he just uses it like a badge and if anything he sees could possibly affect whatever he invested in, he dons his badge and calls it ‘the call of God’ to eliminate those that would cause him to miss out on a couple of bucks.

Yes Suki Muslims, Jews, Christians and Catholics all have the same god, but what matters is in the details. Jews don’t believe that Jesus is our savior. Muslims accept Jesus, but they pervert his message with some pedophile’s rants. Catholics think that only the good deeds in the name of the pope can get you into heaven.

And my mother is catholic and they dont believe the deeds in the name of the pope get you into heaven, actually catholic is quite similar to what you believe, and they are more strict in their faith.
And Pagans do not worship the devil. Most believe that we live in a spiritual world and that almost everything in nature has a spirit and they worship the spirits in the natural world. But Pagans have a variety in their religion but satanism is not one.
