Neil Armstrong Dies, Will America’s Space Legacy Live On
Everyone knows the attributed quote: “This is one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Neil Armstrong is a true American and a spirit whose legacy will live on. Today Neil Armstrong died but his legacy will never be dead. Armstrong represents an era of bravery where modern humanity once again found the spirit and drive to reach out and explore. Daring to put a foot on the moon and take mankind to new horizons, the lesson we should take from Armstrong and the generation who put a man on the moon is never stop reaching for above, never stop reaching for the stars.
And when disaster does strike, we persevere. After the Challenger incident, it seems America’s manned space program took a major blow. But we must not quit and continue to reach out; it’s the nature of humanity to explore and overcome.

Of course the legacy of America in space will live on. Neil may no longer walks among us, but he will always be with us. Whether you think the moon landing was faked or not (which, it wasn’t), Neil is one of the most important people in history, inspiring millions.

wow, an article on christwire about someone who died that does not mock said person. oh, wait, this is not by one of the regular columnists, who probably would have crammed the terms “homogay” “aids” “virus” “atheist” and probably “godless” into this, somehow.

Nah, it’s more than likely that Amber forgot to add that in there. Though, I could see Higgins definitely insulting homosexuals because of this, or someone else bashing Obama. Honestly, they’ll take advantage of anything they can, one asshole was making fun of the Aurora theater victims not too long after the shooting.

It is a shame he never got to see the moon destroyed in his lifetime.

You know, Mr. Weisz, you really need to get that breathalyzer for your keyboard fixed.
“It is a shame he never got to see the moon destroyed in his lifetime.”
Oh yes!! I know I want to be around when that happens. The fireworks show should be FANTASTIC as the Earth’s gravity pulls the debris down. The shift in our orbit from the impacts would make it a crap-shoot as to where we end up in the solar system (if we manage to stay IN the solar system or even intact). We might not have to worry about traveling to Mars. We could wind up sharing it’s orbit. It’s gonna be mighty cold.

August has a serious drinking problem. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some ‘unexplained’ bruises on his wife’s face.

“Who else has been to the moon? Who else has been to Mars?”
Let me correct you. Noone was on the Mars yet. At least not as a human.
Besides… i can ask you also questions as:
Who did send the 1st satelite? Who had the 1st robot on the moon? Who had the 1st woman in space? Who had the 1st man in space? Who had the 1st animal in space? Who had the 1st man in the open space? Who had the 1st space station?
As you see, there are more questions from my side. And the answer is always the same.
Just accept it. First man on moon doesn’t help you much, while they did manage to do several things before that and be first at it.
First man in space is way more important to me, as the 1st man on moon.
p.s. If you refere to beeing 1st on the Mars by sending a robot there, then russians were 1st on the moon.
