World Wide Prayer – A Euniversal Success!
AP (Associated Press) Topeka Kansas. Church authorities are calling the universal group prayer as having a significant impact on Mayan Apocalypse that never took place on 12-21-2012.Today Americans shared a collective sigh of relief that indeed the World’s End was narrowly defeated by the power of prayer. Church authorities around the globe are praising religious leaders like The Good Reverend Skeeter G McAssert at the Holier Than Thou Church of the Conservative Shepherd along with ordained minister Eunice Wentworth for their powerful prayer ceremony skyped nationally over Christian Tuner Radio and other syndicated stations. The broadcast received international attention. As reported in the Topeka Times, another lesser known baptist church also held prayer vigils that lasted into the night. Towels were dripping with sweat while lithe bodies heaved . solemn prayer and gospel music played and many held hands rejoicing as night turned into day. The service in Arkansas was accompanied by the Jiggy D. Wimple Jug Band, and a very special children’s chorus. “Because of the church’s generosity in praying for all sinners, Christian and non Christian alike, the event was deemed a phenomenal success and one that will go down in the history books.” Said E Rock Burnside, a Deacon from Salt Lake City, Utah and a prominent Evangelical Leader. “Be grateful that all lives were spared,” said Ms. Wentworth who has also had success with demonic eradication and boner suppression therapy. Wentworth’s last exorcism involved Vermin Supreme, celebrity, comedian and political activist. Mr. Supreme was afflicted by demonic voices , negatively impacting his political career. The demons had housed themselves in a boot Vermin wore on his head and spoke to him in tongues. He is now demon-free. Christwire has made arrangements for a secret prayer intervention in Topeka; a hub of unabashed sin and wanton adultery.

The praying was deeply intense, reports Pastor Bynum from Kansas. “Our hearts and souls radiated pure love” as evidenced in the photo above.

So proof that doing nothing did something when nothing happened? By the way, isn’t the end of the world according to the bible NOT supposed to be known at all? We could all very well die tomorrow or right after I hit the ‘submit comment’ button and yet we’ll have no idea it’s coming if the bible is to be believed.

Considering how God created Satan and knew exactly what was going to happen, then yes, Pony has a point. That, and God didn’t bother to bring back the people that died, all he did was replace them. God’s all knowing, he knows exactly what is going to happen, and to him, there’s only one path the world can take, so really, he’s responsible for all of the evils in the world because he knows about them, he created the events that led up to those evils in the first place, and yet does NOTHING to intervene. People praise God for any good and yet ignore all of the evil he’s guilty of. Someone says ‘bless god’ for saving them, and yet it’s because of god that it happened in the first place.
“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?”
You can’t bring up free will and ‘god is all knowing’ in the same sentence, unless it’s to point out a contradiction between the two, because how can we have free will AND god know everything? The whole idea of free will is that we make our own destiny, and the whole idea of god knowing everything is that, well, HE KNOWS EVERYTHING including our destiny, so how can we REALLY have free will if our end is predetermined by something that knows exactly what’s going to happen? This isn’t some time-travel movie plot, this is real life and yet not one single christian can actually answer any of these points without resorting to ‘just shut up’ or ‘it is my belief’ or ‘god is mysterious’. If god is good, why is there evil, why would god choose and favor rich white athletes who already have a decent amount of skill or talent as opposed to starving African children who haven’t lived long enough to actually do any real harm and realize it, why would he curse his own creations when he knew that it would happen anyway? The real point of Original Sin is that, if anything, we’re having to pay for HIS mistakes.

“God also sent Jesus Christ to die for our sins, though.”
Why would he need to do that in the first place though? Why would he send his son to specifically die for us just so he can forgive us, when apparently Jesus and god are the same being? You’re telling me he couldn’t drop down a giant pillar of light in the middle of the night and tell the world ‘hey, I’m gonna change the rules now, ok?’
“A God promised in Revalation that he would destroy all evil AND Satan forever. All wickedness was defeated when Jesus died on the cross.”
God is still the SOURCE of all the evil. Where did all the evil come from? You say Satan. Who made Satan? God. Does God know everything? Then he knows that he COULD stop Satan before evil enveloped the world. Why didn’t he? Because either God doesn’t exist, or God himself is evil. After all, if God is all good and full of love, why would he allow evil in the first place? If he’s all powerful, why not have a day where everyone specifically feels a negative emotion to remind them what love is. Why is it God is exempt from the rules he puts into place? Jealousy is a sin and yet God himself is extremely jealous if he’s going to send someone who doesn’t worship him right to Hell. That’s also just ONE of the MANY interpretations of the bible, which many also interpret differently.

there is something to be said for learning through hardship, why would an omnipotent being hand us our lessons without earning them? We are better off learning through mistakes.
as for the Story of Job, I believe Satan challenged God’s loyalty among his subjects and God wanted to prove him wrong. I can’t say such a thing is an act of righteousness, in fact, it is rather childish. However I have no reason to believe God is perfect. “God sent Jesus as the ultimate display of love, by giving his only son. A truly great sacrifice indeed.”
Still doesn’t answer the question as to why he needed to do it in the first place if he could simply just snap his fingers and forgive humanity. Why the need for a sacrifice? If the idea is that the Old Testament no longer applies, why bother with one? Why sacrifice his son who is also himself somehow for a task that didn’t require it. It’s not like he sent a messenger and that the message was “I will only forgive you all if you stop being assholes for five years straight, if one person screws up, you’re all screwed and I reset the timer”, that would’ve been the smart thing to do, and what about all of the other cultures where the Judeo-Christian God didn’t exist? Why didn’t THEY get some figure and why didn’t God bring himself over THERE? You’re telling me he just waited until some asshat screwed up his sailing and have him and his crew bring his word to the natives who have entirely different systems of religion and let them all burn in hell?
“Now tell me, Christianity has changed 1000000′s of lives for good, so why do you act like it is bad?”
It’s also caused a LOT of bad. As in, we’d probably have flying cars because science accelerated that much but religion f.ucked that up bad and wars declared and fought in the name of religion bad and ‘you aren’t doing what I like so I’m going to twist the word of God and MAKE you do what I want’ bad. Religion allowed slavery and the oppression of women and minorities and those who have different sexualities. God made a man a drunk and yet that man claims God freed him from the very curse that was put on him. That’s not love, that’s Stockholm Syndrome.
Now, here’s the thing; we’re STILL feeling the negative effects of religion. It’s going to take those who feel that, regardless of religion, certain rights should NEVER be considered ‘special’ and should be allowed by EVERYONE to have (the right to marry, hold a job, and find happiness), and it’s because of religion that people deny others jobs, the right to marry, and the right to find happiness. The founders of America wanted as LITTLE, if not then NO religion to be established in this country as far as the legal system is concerned; not one single religion should ever be favored for another when lawmakers are put into a room, and they should be punished if they tried otherwise. Now look at America, so many assholes saying ‘the founding fathers would hate to see a Muslim in the oval office’ or ‘those faggots shouldn’t be able to get married cuz it goes against the bible’ when the EXACT OPPOSITE IS TRUE. They’d LOVE to see someone who isn’t Christian take up the role of the President of the Free World, they’d love to know that religion has no bearing on who has what kinds of rights even IF their own personal religions would have them be against it because they valued FREEDOM over RELIGION. The fact that you would support any laws that would suppress people who’s ideas your religion is against speaks volumes of what kind of person you really are.
“As for your comments on free will, it is a highly debated subject among Christians. Some say that people have free will, others don’t. I think God orchestrated everything so I think that we don’t have free will.”
So then wouldn’t EVERY SINGLE THING you’ve tried to ever do to someone else be in vain considering the end is already set? You can’t ‘prevent someone from going to Hell’ if your god already ordained them to go to Hell in the first place. If you believe that our fate is set in stone and no force can change it, then really, you’re only fooling yourself if you think you can.
“It WOULD be hypocritical to beleive otherwise. I think God has maybe a general plan and we fill in the details.”
Then God isn’t all-knowing, and from there it simply crumbles as to how ‘almighty’ the almighty really is. Either God has a plan or he doesn’t, and if you think he has a plan and that we have free will, then you’re a fool, and if you think he DOESN’T have a plan, then how is he all-knowing?
“We are better off learning through mistakes.”
You may not care about the subject anymore, but this WOULD be a good point-if there weren’t so many ways to completely bury it. If you had the power, would you stop someone from being raped? What about being murdered? Mugged? If a fight broke out and someone was going to be heavily injured but you could stop it, would you? On the opposite end, would you do any of those things (rape, murder, mug, and assault) to anyone else? God has the power to stop these horrible acts, and yet does nothing. Instead, if the concept of no free-will is to be believed, then that means that he has allowed these acts to happen.

MentalBore,
Are you slinking away from predestination now just because it makes your god indefensibly evil?
Have you checked with MacArthur to make sure that your theology is sound?
It wouldn’t do for you to be preaching free will when your homo-hating idol is preaching predestination.
“The moment God defined what was good he defined evil.”
So stabbing babies in the eyes is not intrinsically evil? It’s only evil because your god says so?
Of course, your god is in favour of dashing babies brains out on rocks as in Psalm 137:9.
“God gave all of his angels freedom to choose which to follow. Satan, who was jealous of God choose to be evil.”
That is a fairy story not even supported by the bible. Book, chapter and verse please.
“God knows what they will choose, but he did not make their decisions.”
What is your evidence for this?
“God could have saved humaity instantly but he chose not to”
So he is evil…
“give them a choice so simple that only a fool would choose otherwise.”
Why did he make so many fools? For the express purpose of torturing them for all eternity?

Pony, for the first time, you’re actually reading what I’m saying. I’ve been saying those things already for awhile now, YOU just like to pitch a fit that those are my views.
“God did not make evil. The moment God defined what was good he defined evil.”
And that’s different from making evil how?
“God gave all of his angels freedom to choose which to follow. Satan, who was jealous of God choose to be evil.”
Satan was only jealous and ‘evil’ in certain versions. In others, he was a hollow shell that did EXACTLY what God commanded, with no voice or thought of his own. It more or less went God was the brain, Metatron was the voice, and Satan was the body.
“God gives evryone on free will to one degree: people can choose to either resist or succumb to sin.”
Still can’t know everything and give anyone any amount of free will. To know everything means to know what is going to happen, so how can we make our own destiny if it’s already known, and if god DOESN’T know EVERYTHING, then his status as omnipotent quickly begins to crumble.
“God knows what they will choose, but he did not make their decisions.”
And yet, neither did we because how can our destiny be up in the air if he knows about it already.
“God could have saved humaity instantly but he chose not to rather he decided to give them a choice so simple that only a fool would choose otherwise.”
Which is exactly why he let said fools dictate and direct the entire future of mankind by using him as an excuse to get done with what they wanted.

Metalcore, the big difference between me and god is, aside from omnipotence, I would actually try to stop the evils I see if I had the power. God, however, can do literally anything it wants, and yet chooses not to. Why? Because it’s OUR mistake? So I ask you the same questions I asked Apricot, and speaking of which…

“L.N., you seem confused. God punishes sinners. God made hell to punish rapists and murderers etc. who do not repent.”
And yet non-believers who don’t sin are also thrown in there as well. According to God, if you fall out of line, you go to hell, and what happens if you sin and you die before you get the chance to repent? What about sinning to save another person’s life? How are sins even weighed, is it you sin once and if you don’t repent you go to hell? What if on their death bed someone prays for forgiveness even after they’ve committed all sorts of atrocities, would they go to heaven?
“Anyone who sins and does not repent will be punished. God made that very clear. BTW, the difference between you and God is: He is God and you are not.”
And god is evil. Clearly you missed the point of what I was getting at: I would do my best to stop evil, God apparently doesn’t give a f.uck until you’re dead, and even then that’s only if they hadn’t prayed prior to their death. He isn’t going to do anything to stop it. He could stop someone who’s about to murder an innocent individual, but doesn’t. He could prevent someone from trying to rape another person, but doesn’t. He could stop a terrorist attack but doesn’t. He has the power, and chooses not to. He literally makes the rules of the universe, according to you, and yet he doesn’t give a damn.
Either god is flawed or you’re wrong entirely, and considering the number of hypocrisies that are inside the bible, odds are you are just flat-out WRONG. God is responsible for every single evil in the world. He could stop all of the evil, but doesn’t. What will get you eternal torture is a list with an incredible high amount of offenses, and apparently even the worst human being in the world can get into heaven thanks to a loophole in god’s logic.

Today was Sunday so I went to church. Guess what my pastor talked about? He spoke on God’s plan and how man looks upon it. Man has a very hard time understanding God’s plan because he is only in the here and now. We have a hard time understanding why God would let atrocities like rape and murder happen with our finite minds. God’s infinite wisdom however, is in the past the present and the future and his understanding is perfect. He uses all things for greater good. We can only see small glimpses and fragments of his plan. Take Jesus dying on the cross, for an example. The disciples thought that this was the worst thing that could happen, but it turned out to be the best thing that had happened in the entire history of the world. God never uses an event for evil.

God can literally do anything and everything, the rules of the universe bend to his will, and yet he’ll still allow atrocities to happen. You can’t say ‘he makes a bad thing turn good’ when he can literally prevent each and every single one of those bad things from happening. He’s supposed to be capable of literally anything, and yet apparently he’s quite weak if he let’s show much s.hit happen on a daily basis. What, he can’t beam an image into our heads of exactly the kind of s.hit that awaits people in hell (which that in itself is one giant piece of mess that doesn’t make sense).
God CHOOSES to let people suffer because God is WEAK.
“because the crime is our own fault”

That liberals think that people who believe in god shouldn’t include it in politics considering they use their religion as the basis for their political platforms and want to enforce their beliefs onto the populace as a whole, regardless of what those people think?
“You make remarks about exbrony, yet you are just like him when you are not talking to him.”

“God is a father, not a caretaker.”
Let’s say you’re a father and you see your two kids fighting. What do you do? What happens when one of them pulls out a knife to the other, what would you do? What happens when one of them decides that they’re right and that because they’re right, they can do whatever they want to the other child and they start harassing them about it, what do you do?

Not only that, but where the hell did the claim that Christians were right even come from? What if Jesus WASN’T the savior and he was just a bum on the street with a busted eye and could do street magic that got him notoriety and the Jewish people were right? You’re hailing Jesus as someone who could be considered God’s equal, that believing in Jesus and his words is what gets you into Heaven. You could argue that Jesus is still saying what God wants even in the Old Testament, except the problem is that there’s still a vast difference between the two, and it’s pretty damn insulting to the Creator of All Things for there to be a rumor about him having a son around.
So, not only is God evil, but there’s also no guarantee that Christians are right in the first damn place. After all, there were plenty of religions before, and there’s plenty of religions after Christianity came about. You’re telling me that that fact alone doesn’t give some doubt to the idea that out of ALL of the religions on this planet, Christianity is the only one with the right answer (and even then, it also depends on the interpretation of the bible and what parts they felt the need to erase because of inconvenience)?

No. Actually I’m bored.
I’m bored of arguing over the same question (basically, your question was why does God let some things happen?)that has been answered 100s of times. You kept pushing the same point, (which never made sense to me anyway) 4pr1c0t them answered your question, which he/she did very well. Since your question has been answered MULTIPLE TIMES and you still don’t get it, what’sz the point of still arguing? You are not going to make me beleive what YOU say, and you appear to be unwilling to beleive what I say. Your comments have, over the length of the discussion, grown weirder and less coherent to boot.
You have proved to me that liberals are liars because they say tolerate yet you can beleive in ANY religion EXCEPT Christianity without getting hate for it.
God says sometime it is better to leave a fool to his folly then argue on. Get the point? Wait a minute I shouldn’t even ask that because…I know that you don’t and at this rate probably never will.

Answering with “Because” is NOT a legitimate answer, it’s just plain lazy.
“You kept pushing the same point, (which never made sense to me anyway) 4pr1c0t them answered your question, which he/she did very well.”
No, Apricot made Christianity even worse. If a basic human being would intervene upon a crime being committed why the hell wouldn’t the creator of humanity do it?
“Since your question has been answered MULTIPLE TIMES and you still don’t get it, what’sz the point of still arguing?”
Hopefully you’ll realize one day just how insane your ‘answer’ really is.
“You are not going to make me beleive what YOU say, and you appear to be unwilling to beleive what I say. Your comments have, over the length of the discussion, grown weirder and less coherent to boot.”
That tends to happen to the insane when you realize just how wrong you are.
“You have proved to me that liberals are liars because they say tolerate yet you can beleive in ANY religion EXCEPT Christianity without getting hate for it.”
You said you don’t want to push your religions onto others and yet you favor laws that would do just that. To tolerate means to let it exist, NOT to let it do whatever it wants. YOU seem to think that wanting to keep EVERY religion in check is somehow a lie.
“God says sometime it is better to leave a fool to his folly then argue on.”
God says if a woman is raped and she’s a virgin, you pay her dad 50 silver and you marry her, and if you wear clothing made of different types of material, that you should be killed. Tell me, do you have a job you do on Sundays, or do you do ANY kind of work on Sundays? God commands that you be killed for doing that as well.

I have never been a young-earth creationist. That is patently absurd.
And need I remind you that I have pointed out to you many times that there is zero contemporary historical evidence that Jesus Christ ever existed as a man, let alone a god?
Why don’t you ask Abe and MentalBore about that? My guess is that they will parrot the dishonest apologist’s line that there is more evidence for Jesus’s existence than there is for Julius Caesar’s.

Abrahmsq, were you away from home school the day your mommy taught ancient history?
Sumerian religion — earlier than 2100BC. Provided the myth of Noah’s flood and the serpent/fruit thing for the Garden of Eden story.
Buddhism — 6th century BC. Buddhist missionaries were all over the Middle East and the Simon-Peter stories are blatant rip-offs of the Buddhist Sari-Putra stories.
Zoroastrianism — before the 6th century BC. Contributed, among other things, the idea of an evil god (Ahriman/Satan) opposed to a good one.
Osiris — ancient Egyptian god. Followers ate bread and drank beer or wine as his body and blood. Sound familiar?

Mentalbore, how can you call yourself a Christian and listen to these secular bands? Rock psalms are all that you should be listening to.

Lulz. Rock psalms? Really? This is Nu-Metal. Here are some points for you:
Understand that there are people that listen to Christian metal
Get into Christian metal; such as Slechtvalk, Renascent, Mortification, Hilastherion, Crimson Thorn, Crimson Moonlight, Immortal Souls, Horde, Divine Symphony, Tortured Conscience, Vaakevandring,Frost Like Ashes, Pantokrator, Frosthardr, Antestor, Divinefire, Deuteronomium and Living Sacrifice. However, feel free to see whether stuff works — despite the fact that some say that metal is spawned by Satan himself, and that Christian metal is often considered an insult to secular metal. Your call.
Understand that Christian metal may enable you to listen to the driving beats of hard rock and metal without the lyrics promoting bad stuff. Keep this in mind – cutting the bad lyrics is good for your development as clean speech for a Christian and an alternative to anti-God/religious metal.
Get into the metal musicians that have become actual Christians. Nicko Mcbrain is a good example. (Beware: There are fakes out there, who don’t exactly follow through in reality/real life with their reported conversions.)
Understand that these are people that are into secular metal, but are still Christians.
It’s okay to be a Christian and a Metalhead. It’s not what goes in (i.e. lyrics promoting stuff that makes you think, harmful to your Christian development) that matters, it’s what comes out (i.e. your actions, words etc.). As listening to music like this may harm your christian development, so it can make you think, elaborating non religious thoughts. Just remember that your faith is more important than your music (life?).
Remember that you like it for the beats, solos, drums, whatever. Use your judgment; if a song is changing your viewpoint and leading you from the Lord- get rid of it.
Tips
•Some Slayer and Exodus songs should be avoided. But research those songs, before deeming them anti-christian. “The number of the beast” by Iron Maiden is not one of these.
•Day of Fire and Decyfer Down are two great Christian Metal bands with really great lyrics. 12 Stones is also a good choice.
•There are some bands, for example Killswitch Engage, P.O.D., and Flyleaf that have Christian members and occasionally Christian lyrics. These are a good bridge for the gap between secular pop rock and Christian music
•If you listen to bands with members who are not Christians, don’t worry about it. Christians are allowed to enjoy things done by non-Christians.
•Sometimes, at concerts for example, bands can be offensive to Christians and other religions. If you want to go to a concert, check out the other bands first and if they offend you, just avoid the concert.
•Remember to always respect other people’s choice in music, even if you don’t like it, because everyone is entitled to there own form of self expression.
•Sometimes, people who don’t get metal or Christianity try to say, for example: “Oh, rave is way harder than that crap.” Don’t react – calmly explain that your music is as valid as theirs. Do not subscribe to the mainstream stereotype of a metalhead, who likes to cut things and enjoys watching things burn in their bedroom. The only people who are like that have serious psychological problems.
•Music is about perception, remember that! If a lyric says “Your God is dead!’ well, which God do you want them to be talking about? Shiva? Satan? You change the meaning to suit your needs. Remember, you listen to music for yourself, not others. For example:
•If you are easily offended, you might want to avoid listening to Black Metal because most Black Metal lyrics are based on Satanism and Paganism. But just remember, you can still listen without having to change your religion. Metal isn’t about being a Satanist, it’s about enjoying the bizarre things in life.

LOLWUT? Since when is that a mainstream stereotype?
FYI, since you’re throwing around more false allegations and Erich isn’t here to defend himself… Erich said he saw Killswitch Engage “BC” — before he became a Christian.
I am sure that Erich will accept your apology for unfairly calling him a hypocrite. He is a good Christian like that.

Erich, isn’t humility a quality that Christians should have? Why have you never demonstrated this?
And Metalcore, the Pony’s right (imagine that, inject some common sense into him and he’s right for a change!), since when is that the ‘mainstream’ version of what metalheads are?
“(i.e. lyrics promoting stuff that makes you think, harmful to your Christian development)”
So did you just admit that Christianity is basically a way to prevent people for thinking for themselves?

Erich said in BC. That is not a very clear message at all.
Do not subscribe to the mainstream stereotype of a metalhead, who likes to cut things and enjoys watching things burn in their bedroom. (it’s saying that that is what people will think about you if you like metal) The only people who are like that have serious psychological problems. (see? it answered that)
I’m sorry if I misunderstood Erich’s post, but it was not made very clear at all.

Why do ou call me a “fundie” exbrony? If I like metal, then I am not a perfect “fundie” at all. John MacArthur doesn’t like metal, I guess that’s his call, not mine. The Bible never says NO METAl, it DOES reference to using stringed instruments, though.

Exbrony an L.N. you say that you are the “free-thinkers” why do I get the feeling that you are the only ones in chains?
BTW
L.N. must stand for “Little Meanie. I think little is appropriate because if he keeps acting like this (picking fights with people, acting like he’s the smart guy, pretending he is in someway telling people about their own religion.(that they obviously know more about.) If you don’t like it then why do you even care?) I cannot see him ever amounting to much.) Come on! If that is his religion of choice don’t bother him. Why are you so intolerant? I don’t understand these kind of people. It makes me sad just how antagonistic some people can be. You are truly making a difference when you can get along, even if one guy beleives in hell and you do not. Let’s act like adults here. I’ve been watching this whole argument and I couldn’t stand watching it without sayign something, so I started commenting. You shouldn’t have needed me to see this, but you did. How can we be so blind to our own personal hostility? It’s like poison it corrupts everything and just makes it all worse for everyone on both sides. If YOU want to look good, try to BE good. Do your best. If you wouldn’t say it to his face them don’t say it at all. A simple rule of civility. How about we all try to do our very best?

“L.N. must stand for “Little Meanie.”
In what universe does meanie start with the letter n?
“I think little is appropriate because if he keeps acting like this (picking fights with people, acting like he’s the smart guy, pretending he is in someway telling people about their own religion.(that they obviously know more about.) If you don’t like it then why do you even care?)”
Because these same people are also the ones who are deciding to insert their religion into my life through laws and other means. If you want to tell other people that they can’t do something because your religion says not to, I can tell you to stuff it.
“Come on! If that is his religion of choice don’t bother him. Why are you so intolerant?”
Again, because this isn’t a matter of belief or choice anymore, this is a matter of taking a religion that has done so much more harm than good and continue to use it to produce more harm and force more people to bend to it’s will or else punish them. It’s also a damn fact that people will come up with special exceptions for them all the time. Many Christians believe that they’re immune to the punishments listed in the bible just because ‘those rules are primitive’ when they’ll pull out something several passages later to complain about how someone is acting then.
“How about we all try to do our very best?”
Tell me that again when you have people who are wanting to force their religion down your throat as law. So much misinformation and all of it from religion because they’re too damn afraid to do research and think for themselves. They’re so afraid of what happens after death that they want to shackle everyone to a bunch of stupid rules and force themselves into the lives of other people. A Christian who does not is not one I mind, and a Christian who would pass laws that give people equal rights even when their religion dictates that some people are lesser than others deserves even more respect, but far too often you have people who not only think everyone should live by their rules, but should be punished if they don’t. THAT I have a problem with. Christians who decide their rules don’t apply to them? THAT I have a problem with. People who decide that they can erase whatever the f.uck they want to from their ancient rules and only apply them in certain situations? THAT I have a problem with. If you’re going to turn a blind eye to all the evils that religion has caused, Christianity in particular here in America, then you have no right to talk to me about s.hit like ‘do our very best’. You don’t get to just act like we have a clean slate and still demand others follow your insane rules that you make up as you go along. You can’t just sit there and say ‘oh, Christians are good people and it’s a good religion’ when there’s so much insanity to be found in it’s past. Because who the hell are you to say that that stuff doesn’t matter anymore when it still exists today?

Your religion isn’t any better. Beleiving in nothing is the religion of nothing. Every law that has come from Christianity, like the Constituition of America is 10x better than ANY athiest law I’ve seen so far. The religion of nothing makes nothing good.

Sorry I wasn’t thinking of m and n…Oops.
I have no idea where Christianity promotes inequality. As I see it, they have better standards than most.
Stupid rules.
Thalt shalt not kill, lie or steal. Yeah, stupid rules.
You seem obsessed with the old testament, most of which is not used after Christ died on the cross.
Why did you say they were MY rules anyway?
False assumptions, again.
Okay, you read that and then you went and did they opposite. That tells me a lot about YOU.
