Microsoft is trying to pull the ol’ about face after fans, for some odd reason, did not like the idea of having a gaming system which would require them to be monitored by camera every time they wanted to play, send viewing reports to the MPAA and forbid a person from reselling a game.

Gamers backlashed and after E3, the Playstation 3 and Wii U came out as heroic consoles for the people, while Microsoft was teamed with a very inconvenient public discomfort with allegations that the NSA spied on American cell phone and email communiques.  Microsofts backtrack may be too little, too late for many fans.
