The National Film Board of Canada, in association with the Cannes Short Film Corner and partner YouTube, welcomes you to this NFB competition, now in its fifth year.Its your turn to choose. Internet votes will decide the best film, and the winner will be announced at Cannes on May 21. His life spirals downward as, one by one, his digits stop functioning.Jordan Canning is a filmmaker living and working in St. Johns. Over the last four years she has directed eight short films and a number of music videos. In 2006 she was chosen for the Corus Young Filmmakers Initiative for her film, Here on In. Next she scaled back to create The House Series, a trilogy of shorts produced with no budget and each filmed in a different room of her home. Last year, Bedroom screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and was awarded Best Atlantic Short at the Atlantic Film Festival. Her most recent short, Countdown, is an NSI Drama Prize.
